Introduction
It is an effective solution for Stock Management in the form of Stock Assistant Add-on for Dynamics CRM
which manages all stocks and completes the stock tracking process. This Plug-in allows users to set the
inward and outward stock quantity of particular products along with its reason and other important
details, thus making stock management process more efficient.
Benefits of Stock Assistant
• It improves the accuracy of inventory orders.
• It primarily specifies the shape and number of stocked goods.
• It tracks stock movements.
• It views history of a particular product, which helps to know all the details of stock transaction for
that product.
• Here, the Stock management has real time monetary benefits. By keeping track of products which
you have on-hand or ordered, you save yourself the effort of having to do an inventory recount.
Pre-requisites
Following points must be followed before starting the Plugin installation:
• You should be logged into Dynamics CRM Online.

Installation & Configuration
Installation Steps
To install ‘Stock Assistant’ plugin, the following steps has to be followed:
• On purchasing the plugin, you will get a zip file named StockAssistant.zip.

• Login to your CRM Account and click on Settings -> Solutions
• Click on ‘Import’ to upload and install the Solution.
• Click on ‘Browse’ button and choose the Package Zip File for Stock Assistant from the Import
Solution Window

• Click on ‘Next’ for further processing.
• Check the box to enable any SDK message processing steps included in the solution and click on
Import button to Import the Solution

• Click on ‘Close’ after successful completion message is displayed
• Once you import the solution, it will be displayed in the solutions grid view.

Configuration Steps
• Double click on ‘Stock Assistant’ solution to configure the plugin with your license key.
• This will open up a new window. Click on ‘Configuration’ from the options provided on the left
side.
• To activate the plugin, enter your ‘First Name’, ‘Last Name’ and a valid ‘Email address’.
• Now click on ‘Request OTP’ button to receive One Time Password for Email Verification.

• After receiving One Time Password enter it in the ‘Verification Code’ field and click on ‘Activate’
button.
Note: In case you have not received the One Time Password click on ‘Resend Code’ link to receive it.
• Once you have verified your email address, your plugin will be automatically activated.

Assign User Role:
• To manage the user roles, navigate to Settings -> Security -> Users.
• Now select the users whose roles are to be managed and click on ‘MANAGE ROLES’. This will open
up a pop up to select roles.
• To access AppJetty product entities assign ‘AppJetty Stock Assistant’ role to selected users.
Note:
• ‘System Administrator’ will also be able to access AppJetty Product Entities.

Procedure
• To manage the stock of products, navigate to Sales ->Products.
• To manage the stock of a particular product, click on that particular product name from the list of
products.
• User will be able to manage only those products which are Active.
• By clicking on a product name, Product Detail Page will be displayed, wherein you will find
a section for Stock Management along with a button ‘Manage Stock’

• Click on ‘Manage Stock’ button, this will open up a new window with stock details, wherein you
can configure your stocks for that product.
• It will display the current stock of the product, its total inward & outward quantity till now. Check
the ‘Manage Stock’ check box to enable stock management for the selected product.

• You can update the stock by entering the quantity in the text box. The reason for stock update can
be selected from the drop-down menu or a new reason can be added by clicking on the ‘Add
Reason’ Button
• This will open up a pop-up to enter the new reason and select whether it is inward or outward
quantity. Clicking on ‘Save’ button will add the reason in the Dropdown Menu.

• You can also view the stock transaction history of that particular product by clicking on View
History.
• This will open up a new pop up displaying the Stock Transaction history of the product with full
information of incoming and outgoing stocks.

Multiple Products Stock Management
• You can also update the stock of multiple products in bulk. Select multiple products from the
products list for which you want update the stock and click on Manage Stock.
• A new form will pop up wherein you can manage stock for selected products.
• Products which are enabled are already managed products. To manage the unmanaged products
in the list, check box against that product and click on ‘Save’.
• You can add a new reason for the transactions by clicking on the ‘Add Reason’ Button.
• If you want to manage the stock for a single product then update the fields for that particular
product and click on Save Button against it. Clicking on ‘Save All’ button will update the stock for
all products.

Multiple Products Stock History
• Stock History allows users to view stock transaction history of multiple products in a single click.
To generate multiple products stock History, select products from the list and click on ‘Stock
History’ button in the Products listing page.
• This will open up a new window displaying Stock Transaction History for the selected products
with full information of incoming and outgoing stocks.
• You can filter the Transaction history in the following ways:
▪ Date-wise
▪ User-wise
▪ Reason-wise
▪ Transaction-wise

• You can also take a print out of the stock history, export it to an excel sheet or download it as a
PDF.

Inventory Summary • Inventory Summary allows users to view summary of all transactions in a single click. To generate
Inventory Summary, select products from the list and click on ‘Inventory Summary’ button in the
Products listing page.
• This will open up a new window displaying summary of transactions along with the reasons for
transaction.
• You can also take a print out of the summary, export it to an excel sheet or download it as a PDF.

• When you add a product in the Order Module for which you have enabled stock management, the
stock for that particular product will be updated automatically when the Order is fulfilled and the
same will be displayed in the Stock Transaction History as well.

Un-installation Steps
• To uninstall the Solution, navigate to Settings - > Solutions
• Check on the Plugin Name and click on ‘Delete’
• Click on OK to Delete and uninstall the solution from CRM.
