1� IntroductionThisdocumentprovidesinstructionsonhowtoestablishtheconnectionbetweentheVIAMobile360D700driverecorderandAmazonIoTCorewebservices.ThepurposeofthisdocumentistoshowyouhowtoaddandmanagetheVIAMobile360D700asanIoTCoredeviceonAmazonWebServices,setupthedevice,andthenhowtoconfiguretheVIAIoTHubapplication.
2� HowtoAcquiretheAWSIoTCertification FilesfortheVIAMobile360D700ToacquiretheAWSIoTcertificationfilesfortheVIAMobile360D700,youmustfollowthestepsbelow.
Step 1. SignintotheAWSIoTConsole.

Step 2. Click“Services”fromtheabovemenu,andthenselect“IoTCore”undertheInternetOfThingscategory.
Step 3. ToCreateanIoTthing,clickthe“GetStarted”buttontoentertheAWSIoTpage.
Note:IfyoualreadyhaveanIoTofthingspleaseproceedtostep4.
Step 4.Select“Manage”frommenulist.Click“Things”andthenpressthe“Registerathing”button.

Step 5.Pressthe“Create”buttontoshowtheCreatingAWSIoTthingswindow,andthenpressthe“Createa singlething”button.

Step 6. Typeinthedevicename,thenclick“Next”tocontinueaddingyourdevicetothethingregistryand createathingshadowforyourdevice.
Step 7. Click“Createcertificate”buttontoaddacertificateforyourthing.

Step 8. DownloadtheAWScertificationfiles.Click“Activate”andthenpressthe“Attachapolicy”button.
Toselectapolicytoattachtoyourcertificate,searchforthepolicyofyourchoice.Whenyouaredone,selectthe“registerthing”buttontoaddapolicyforyourthing.
Step 9. ImportthefilestotheVIAMobile360D700.PleaseprepareanSDcard,andtheninsertitintotheVIA Mobile360D700.

ToconfigureandlaunchtheVIAIoTHub,refertoChapter4.

3. SettingUptheVIAMobile360D7003.1 ConnectingaPCtotheVIAMobile360D700Wehavetouseastandardcommandconsoletoconfigurethenetwork,timeanddatesettingsontheVIAMobile360D700.
Step 1.ConnecttheVIAMobile360D700toaPCusingtheMicroUSB2.0port.
Step 2.Afterthedriverisautomaticallyinstalled,theVIAMobile360D700willbeshownontheDeviceManager.NotetheCOMportnumberassignedtotheVIAMobile360D700.
Step 3.Openaconsole(i.e,Putty)andconfigureasbelow.TheportshouldbemodifiedaccordingtothevalueshowninthedevicemanagerinWindows(i.e,COM31).Thetransmitspeed(baudrate)shouldbe1152002 and thesettingsofflowcontrolarealldisabled3�

3.2 Wi-FiSettingStep 1.Tomodifythessid and psk in /etc/wpa_supplicant.confaccordingtoyourAP’sssidandpassword,usethefollowingscreenshowbelowasanexampleonhowtosetupyourWi-FisettingsoastoconnecttotheVIAMobile360D700.
Step 2.ToconnecttothespecificAP,usethefollowingcommandbelow.
Step 3.WhentheWi-Ficonnects,wl_bss_connect_done succeededwillbeshowninthelogs.
wpa_supplicant -B -iwlan0 -Dnl80211 –c/etc/wpa_supplicant.conf

Step 4.ToobtainthefollowingIPaddressusethefollowingcommandbelow.
Step 5.AfteryouhavegottentheIPaddress,youcantrytoping8.8.8.8orvisitasiteforcheckingiftheexternalnetworkisavailableornot.
3.3 SettingtheTimeandDateTosetthetimeanddateusingthefollowingcommandbelow.

4� HowtoConfiguretheVIAIoTHubTheVIAIoTHubestablishestheconnectionbetweenphysicalsensors/actuatorsandcloudplatform.
Youmustfirststore/copythecertificatefilestoanSDcard(formattedasFAT16).ThenplugtheSDcardtotheVIAMobile360D700andcopy/pastefrom/mnt/sd or /mnt/sd2 to the /root/vialocation.
Youshouldbeabletoseethefollowingfilesunder/root/viainthecommandconsole.
Youhastomodifythecertificationfilesnameintheviaiohub.xmlbeforeexecutingtotheviaiothub.
Whenyouexecutetheviaiothub,itwillgeneratetheGPScoordinateandupdateittotheAWSIoTdeviceshadow.
Ifyouneedassistanceyoucanusethefollowingcommandviaiothub-hasshownbelow.
