SMARTPHONE/TABLET APP – USER GUIDE

ACCESSING THE APP Complimentary Wi-‐Fi Internet is provided to all APS delegates, the network name is: NCC and the password is: GRRVDS The Australian Pain Society ASM smartphone/tablet APP can be accessed either by visiting the following link on your browser,
aps2013.mobievents.mobi Or by scanning the QR image below using a bar code or QR reader on your smartphone/tablet:
Once you have scanned the QR image or entered the link in to your browser you will be taken to main page of the app (below).
Save the app to your phone/tablet home screen by selecting the options below,
LOOK OUT FOR ANNOUCEMENTS! Important announcements about the conference will appear at the top of the APP. To view more alerts click the announcements tab.
PROGRAMS By clicking on the program tab you can access all the sessions that will be running at the conference, including the social sessions. At the bottom of your screen you have three options to view the sessions; you can either view all sessions, view sessions by date or view by session type such as pre-‐conference workshop, breakfast session etc. There is also a search field so you can search for the specific session you want to view.
Click the arrow button to the right of a session to see more details on that particular session.
SPEAKERS
SPONSORS AND EXHIBITORS The sponsors’ and exhibitors’ tabs will give you access to information on all the organisations that are involved with sponsoring or exhibiting at the APS 2013 conference.
The Speakers arrow will give you access to information on all keynote and plenary session speakers. By clicking the arrow button you can read a short bio on that chosen speaker. There is also a search field so you can enter the name of a specific speaker.
By clicking the arrow button you can get access to information on that company including a profile, contact details and the number of their booth for the exhibition.
ATTENDEES The attendee’s tab is the mobile app’s online delegate list – here you can get details on all the people who are in attendance at the conference and gave permission to have their details listed. You can interact with other attendees instantly by clicking the arrow button next to their name and clicking on their e-‐mail address. We encourage you to add your details and photo! To update your details, add an e-‐mail address and add a photo of yourself, search on your surname within the Attendee’s tab on the app, select your name and select ‘edit details’ OR visit the link below and enter your e-‐mail address, which must be the same e-‐mail address you gave when you initially registered for the APS meeting. http://mobiupdate.mobievents.mobi/ You can access this website via your smartphone, tablet, laptop or at the Internet Café onsite at the conference.
GENERAL INFORMATION The general information tab gives you access to some useful information for when you are on site. This includes details on such things as the opening times of the exhibition and registration desk.
HELPFUL LINKS The helpful links tab provides you with website links that could be useful throughout the conference.
Firstly, submit your email address you used to register for the conference. You will then receive your password via email. Secondly, login to update your profile information.
FLOOR PLAN AND MAPS If you are having trouble finding a location for any of the APS sessions, including the social functions, then click on floor plan and maps to view interactive maps. Locations that are away from the National Convention Centre such as the Gala Dinner venue will have Google maps linked to them.
