Tips to help you prevent false alarms: BEFORE LEAVING THE PROPERTY Secure all windows and doors confine pets to designated rooms by keeping doors shut AT NIGHT Keep windows and doors shut in rooms which are being protected by sensors confine pets to designated rooms ENSURE Sensors are not obstructed by furniture or suspended objects eg. Festive/party decorations detectors are free of insects and cobwebs TAKE CARE Protect sensors when decorating or doing building work. Ensure power is on and READY LED is on or flashing Press PARTIAL key (system arms with pre-programmed zones bypassed) To QUICK ARM - Press PARTIAL ARM and EXIT LEDS come on DISARMING Enter 4 - 6 digit code Armed led turns off RESETTING CODEPAD Arm the system and then disarm RESETTING SMOKE DETECTORS Press * 7 If panel is still beeping, enter 4 - 6 digit code. Wait a few minutes and try again. BYPASSING/ISOLATING When bypassing, the system must be in DISARMED state. Press BYPASS Enter 4 - 6 digit code (bypass light flashes) Enter the zone you wish to bypass as a 2 digit number (i.e. zone 1 = 01, zone 2 = 02) Press BYPASS If you wish to bypass more than 1 zone, repeat the above 2 steps until all zones you want bypassed are entered User Guide for Das – NX4

• Press BYPASS again OR # key to exit the bypass mode

• Then ARM as normal

• All bypasses are cleared when the system is disarmed or repeat

procedure

TESTING • If programmed for a battery test, communicator test, or siren test

• Press # 4 4

• The test will be performed as programmed

• If the siren test is performed, enter a user code to silence the siren

WALK TEST • Press * CHIME

• Enter Master Arm/Disarm Code

• Walk Test system, each zone makes a beep and latches in alarm

• When complete, DISARM system

CODEPAD TONES • Press * 0

• Press 1 to adjust higher and 2 to adjust lower

• Press # to exit

VIEW ALARM MEMORY • Press * 3

• Zones bypassed are on

• Those in alarm will flash

POF AND BOF INDICATORS • OF - LED Power light indicator will be on and steady if

• power is on to system. It will be off if no power

• BOF - LED Power light indicator will be flashing

• if Low system battery
