The brave, the wounded, and the deadYoung men and women scared to death

Afraid of taking a single breathBombs exploding, people dyingSoldiers on the ground cryingBullets flying past their headThe battlefield painted red

Not knowing which breath could be your lastThe ground shakes with every blastBand of brothers, band of friends

Knowing today your life might endUntil they come home, only time will tell

But they can't take much more of this hellWaking up every morning at four
