Theresa Burgard 19c HELP WANTED MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING ESMOND CITY COUNCIL June 5, 2019 A regular meeting of the Esmond City Council was held June 5, 2019 at 7 p.m. at the Esmond City Hall. Present were Mayor Roger Hill; council members Devin Arnold, Jake Hoffert, Shari Wilson and David Wolfe; and City Auditor Misti Arnold. Guests present: Arlene Cable, Cy Streifel and Dale Pfeifer. A motion was made by Shari Wilson, seconded by Devin Arnold, to approve the minutes of the regular meeting of May 1, 2019. The motion carried. The agenda for the June meeting was handed out. Topics on the agenda were: bank building lease, gaming permit, unpaid bills, and any other business that was not mentioned. A motion was made David Wolfe, seconded by Jake Hoffert, to pay all approved bills. The motion carried. She presented the council with a bill from Johnson Plumbing that they had paid that was for a sewer issue they had in the church. She asked the council if they would be willing to pay for half of the bill. The council said they would discuss the issue and get back to her. The council went over the bill and tabled it until the next meeting. The council asked Misti Arnold to contact Johnson Plumbing and find out more details on the situation. Shari Wilson made a motion to table the subject and have Misti Arnold call Johnson Plumbing, seconded by Devin Arnold. The motion carried. Cy Streifel, representing the Esmond Bar, LLC, was present. He asked permission to have a disc jockey/beer gardens on July 12 and a street dance/beer gardens on July 13 with a 2 a.m. closing that night. He also asked permission to have the city auditorium available if needed in case of bad weather. Shari Wilson made a motion to grant the Esmond Bar, LLC, to hold activities on July 12 and 13, seconded by Devin Arnold. The motion carried. Dale Pfeifer was present. He brought in old photographs and articles relating to the bank building that will help in getting insurance on the building. Morgan Lies, representing the New Rockford Golf Club, sent in the renewal for the gaming license located at the Esmond Bar, LLC. After much discussion, the council agreed to renew the gaming permit. The council would like for Misti Arnold to contact Lies on getting donations from the gaming for projects needed in Esmond. David Wolfe made a motion to renew the gaming license with New Rockford Golf Club, seconded Jake Hoffert. The motion carried. The next regular meeting will be July 10, 2019, at 7 p.m. at the Esmond City Hall. Devin Arnold made a motion to adjourn the meeting, seconded by Shari Wilson. MINUTES OFREGULAR MEETING

ESMOND CITY COUNCILJune 5, 2019

A regular meeting of the Esmond City Council was held June 5, 2019 at 7 p.m. at the Esmond City Hall. Present were Mayor Roger Hill; council members Devin Arnold, Jake Hoffert, Shari Wilson and David Wolfe; and City Auditor Misti Arnold. Guests present: Arlene Cable, Cy Streifel and Dale Pfeifer.

A motion was made by Shari Wilson, seconded by Devin Arnold, to approve the minutes of the regular meeting of May 1, 2019. The motion carried.

The agenda for the June meeting was handed out. Topics on the agenda were: bank building lease, gaming permit, unpaid bills, and any other business that was not mentioned.

A motion was made David Wolfe, seconded by Jake Hoffert, to pay all approved bills. The motion carried. Arlene Cable, representing the Trinity Lutheran Church, was present. She presented the council with a bill from Johnson Plumbing that they had paid that was for a sewer issue they had in the church. She asked the council if they would be willing to pay for half of the bill. The council said they would discuss the issue and get back to her. The council went over the bill and tabled it until the next meeting. The council asked Misti Arnold to contact Johnson Plumbing and find out more details on the situation. Shari Wilson made a motion to table the subject and have Misti Arnold call Johnson Plumbing,

seconded by Devin Arnold. The motion carried.

Cy Streifel, representing the Esmond Bar, LLC, was present. He asked permission to have a disc jockey/beer gardens on July 12 and a street dance/beer gardens on July 13 with a 2 a.m. closing that night. He also asked permission to have the city auditorium available if needed in case of bad weather. Shari Wilson made a motion to grant the Esmond Bar, LLC, to hold activities on July 12 and 13, seconded by Devin Arnold. The motion carried.

Dale Pfeifer was present. He brought in old photographs and articles relating to the bank building that will help in getting insurance on the building.

Morgan Lies, representing the New Rockford Golf Club, sent in the renewal for the gaming license located at the Esmond Bar, LLC. After much discussion, the council agreed to renew the gaming permit. The council would like for Misti Arnold to contact Lies on getting donations from the gaming for projects needed in Esmond. David Wolfe made a motion to renew the gaming license with New Rockford Golf Club, seconded Jake Hoffert. The motion carried.

The next regular meeting will be July 10, 2019, at 7 p.m. at the Esmond City Hall.

Devin Arnold made a motion to adjourn the meeting, seconded by Shari Wilson. The meeting was adjourned at 7:48 p.m.
