Please note the following special instructions on certain numbered fields in the application: 1. Study Plans (item 16): The requirements for completing academic work toward a degree vary depending upon the degree desired, the candidate’s academic background, and the regulations of the institution to which the candidate is admitted. It is usually not possible to obtain a degree in one academic year. Although the minimum time required for a Master’s degree is one academic year, student s should expect to take between one and two years to complete the academic requirements. 2. Study Objectives (item 22): The description of your study objectives is an essential and highly important part of your application. You should take great care in writing a clear and detailed description of the program you want to pursue. An unclear, incomplete or overly brief statement can diminish your chances for admission to an appropriate program. Do not list your choice of universities here or anywhere else in the five pages of the application. 3. Statement of Purpose (item 23): This essay can be the most important document in the application. Other parts of your application test scores, transcripts, letters of recommendation do not say as much about you as a person as the statement of purpose can: your proudest accomplishments alongside your fondest hopes and dreams. Take this essay seriously and comply with the word limits. 4. Other Essays (items 24, 25a, 25b, 26): Comply with the word limits and be thoughtful in your replies to these essays. DESCRIPTION OF ATTACHMENTS to APPLICATION

Read Carefully before Proceeding to the Application

The attachments for this application are found at www.trainingforpakistan.org/mesp website. The attachments provide strategies and guidelines on how to complete the application, how to write the essays, and what documents you are required to attach to your application. You will also find the Letter of Reference form that, when completed, will be part of your application. Applications submitted without the required attachments will not be accepted.

Teacher Education Master’s Education Program Application Guidelines

These guidelines explain what you need to attach to your application, such as your transcripts and other required attachments.

Applications that are submitted without the required attachments will not be accepted.

Applicants must attach official, complete and certified academic documents covering the entire period of study at universities

and other post-secondary institutions. Documents must be accompanied by complete official English translations. These

documents must consist of:

a. One certified official record (transcript) from each university or post-secondary institution you attended, even those

schools from which you did not receive a degree or diploma. These transcripts should list the subjects you studied and

the grades you received during each year of your enrollment. Include all post-secondary institutions you have attended.

Official transcripts must be submitted in sealed envelopes.

b. Certified, official evidence of each post-secondary or university degree, diploma or certificate awarded to you should be

included as part of the completed application.

NOTE: Individual universities may require that you complete additional forms as part of your application.

Applications that are submitted without the required transcripts in the correct format will not be accepted.

Confidential Letter of Reference Form

You are required to submit three (3) letters of reference, using the two-page form on the website. Many universities, especially universities in the U.S., consider letters of reference extremely important. All letters of reference should be submitted by teachers under whom you have studied or pursued research or by someone who has supervised you in work the place. Letters of reference should not be written by persons related to you, either by blood or marriage, or by personal friends. At least one academic reference and one from someone who has supervised you must be included among the three letters you provide. You can download the two-page Letters of Reference Form from www.trainingforpakistan.org/mesp website.

The letters of reference should be written in English. Please be certain to ask that both pages of the form are completed. You can print out the Letter of Reference form and forward it to each individual who will be your referee. Or, you can direct your referees to the website and they can print out their own copies. Completed Letters of Reference should be returned directly to you in a sealed envelope. Please do NOT open.

Applications that are submitted without the three required Letters of Reference will not be accepted.
