Use of google site.
Introduction:
You will be using the site to write a webpage. The address of the site is http://sites.google.com/site/kwokthechemteacher/Home Each student is to create an email with has their name. E.g.
Send me an email using the email address which clearly shows your name. I willadd you to become one of the collaborators on the above mentioned site.
Group collaboration:
The class will be divided into 4 groups of 6 individuals who will be working on 5different components of the website.

Please appoint a group leader in each group. There may not be a need for all members to write, there will be a need for
members whose responsibility is to edit.
You can conduct group discussion, through online, in person or even throughemail.
Assignment:
A topic will be given to you to write information about chemistry and explore. The first trial topic will be writing about the class. It is up to you to decide upon the division of work and how the articles can be
crafted.
A deadline will be given for each assignment. So please plan early. I will be the overall moderator of the entries that you put up.

Purpose:
The exercise aims to train everyone to research more about a topic and enhancelearning by sharing.
This exercise also aims to help the students to work together in a team to producea coherent and sensible piece of work which others can benefit.
Suitable points which can be written:
A short but informative write-up. An attempt to explain the concepts.- Suitable diagrams and/or videos can be used. Highlights the misconceptions available. Share sentiments about the difficulties in learning the topic.How to use guide: - Basic guide.:
At this stage, there is no need to create a sub-page that links to the current pageyou are working at.
Log-in the site using the email which you have sent to me. Once you are logged-in, you will be able to edit information and post new
information.
To edit the information on the page assigned to your group, you can use the editpage function.
You are able to type normally; it is similar to word function. You are able to also post images and videos onto your page. However, do bare in
mind the size of the images and not post excessively large pictures.

Structure of the site:
The structure of the site is slightly different from the blog. The following shows the rough structure of the site. Details can be found on the
sitemap when the site matures.

Generally, students (in their groups) will write about a sub-topic. The topicscovered will be chapters which we have covered in Term 1 and 2.
Assessment:
Students will be graded on 3 main criteria:1. The coherence of the articles.2. The depth of the articles.3. The presentation of materials.
