    Introduction

I am doing masters in Tourism and hospitality management. For completion of my

studies I need to have a tour on University of South Asia Cafeteria for customer food service

survey which given me by my respected teacher. Mam. Sameera Ali gave me task to report on

University of South Asia which I have done.

The University of South Asia, a seat of higher learning with a wide array of academic

options, each of which will shape the student future in an exciting and unexpected way. AtUniversity of South Asia, strive to make learning a rewarding activity for student.

It is a great achievement of University of South Asia to change the system of higher

education in Pakistan. In 1988 from the platform of National College of Computer Sciences,

University of South Asia initiated the move of change by offering Computer Science programs.

Today HEC is in the process of getting two year Bachelor programs replaced with a four year

Bachelors. Instead of studying seven courses, students are now exposed to 40+ courses at

the undergraduate level. This system has been adopted from the American universities where

most of the students study and work simultaneously. Although the duration is four years,

students with better learning skills and time to study can complete this degree in less than

three years. They take six regular semesters and two summer sessions thereby completing the

    requirements in shorter time span.

At University of South Asia, they strive each day to come up with new and innovative

ideas for providing better options to the students. University of South Asia engages the best

available faculty and struggle to improve the teaching standards each day.

History of University of South Asia

During the last two decades, there have been enormous changes in the global trend of

business and industry. Accordingly a need was felt to reframe our system of education with a

view to switching from aimless education to modern purposeful and job-oriented education in

order to overcome the challenges of the 21st century. Keeping in view the limitation of the

public sector, it was required from the private sector to share the burden of education with the

Government. Accordingly, a most courageous and innovative step was initiated by The Sadiq

Memorial Educational Society for establishing a chain of National Colleges of Computer

Science (NCCS) throughout the country for offering Computer Science Program. Under the

dynamic leadership of the members of The Sadiq Memorial Educational Society, initially a

mass computer literacy campaign was launched with the aim to promote computer education

and its practical usage in Pakistan. The primary mission was to prepare the nation to

participate fully in the computer revolution that continues unabated to date. The Bachelor of

Computer Science (BCS) program was launched in 1992 and Intermediate with Computer

Science (ICS) was introduced in 1994.

The year 1995 was yet another milestone as MBA and MCS programs were launched

that year. During a short span of 16 years, more than 100,000 students have graduated from
