GenerAL inFo:1. ReGISTRATIONa. Please complete the attached enrollment Form

and mail it in with payment in full. Send one en-rollment Form per band (include all participants and non-participants). The form may be duplicated for additional names. All drum majors from a school may be included on one enrollment form as well. (Please see item #2 for detailed information regarding payments)

b. The “On campus” fee includes all housing, meals, and instruction.

c. The “commuter” fee includes instruction only. (meals may be purchased for “commuters” on a per meal basis at most facilities – contact the USA office for more information).

d. The “non-participant” fee includes housing and meals.

e. due to contractual obligations with host facilities, camp fees will be charged to all attendees regard-less of age or participation. Adults may also audit student classes and attend director’s workshops. Participants must be at least 10 years of age to attend a Junior High Camp and at least 12 years of age to attend a High School Camp.

f. Once the USA office has received your enrollment form and payment, an email will be sent to the person designated to receive correspondence. This email will include instructions on how to download important camp information from the online camp registration Tracker.

2. PAyMeNT INFORMATIONa. payment can be made by credit card, school or

cashier’s check, money order, personal check, or school purchase order. Organizational checks are not accepted. make all payments payable to “USA Summer camps.” please no cash or payments made by individual squad members (if registered as a group). A $25.00 fee will be assessed for each returned check.

b. if you are paying with a purchase order, it should be written for the entire camp balance and submitted with a completed enrollment form. make sure the school name appears on the purchase order. Drum Majors submitting purchase orders without a com-pleted enrollment Form will not be registered.

c. As an added convenience, payment can be made with mastercard, viSA, discover, or American express. For payment by credit card, use the space for credit card authorization on the enrollment Form.

3. CANCeLLATION/ADD/CHANGe POLICya. Any changes/cancellations after your enrollment

form has been processed will need to be submitted in writing to the USA office.

b. All payments, except a $50.00 per person deposit, are fully refundable if written notice of cancellation is received in the USA office at least 14 days prior to your camp opening. if you do not receive an invoice confirmation reflecting your revised numbers within 48-hours of submission, please follow up with the USA registration department. Cancellations are of-ficial only when received in writing and confirmed by the USA office.

c. USA will only accept cancellations in writing. d. Because of facility deposits paid by USA, “no-

shows” at camp or cancellations received less than 14 days prior to camp will not receive any type of refund and will be responsible for the full tuition.

e. payments may be applied to substitutes. The substitution must take place at the same time as the cancellation.

f. Should a “no-show” individual at a camp have an outstanding balance (e.g. unpaid school purchase order, etc.), full tuition will still be due for the in-dividual even though she/he did not attend camp.

4. ReFUND ReqUeSTSa. A separate refund request for cancellations

received in writing at least 14 days prior to the camp opening must be submitted in writing to the USA office by October 1, 2010. Again, the refund request is separate from cancellation request. no refund will be issued before the end of camp or after december 31, 2010.

5. ROOM ASSIGNMeNTSa. multiple drum majors from the same school will be

housed together at camp.b. room assignments for bands will be made by the

team representative upon arrival at camp. To expedite this process, please prepare your own rooming list (two to a room at most locations) and bring it to camp.

6. CAMP CAPACITya. many USA camps fill to capacity. if bed space is

not available when you register, you will be notified immediately regarding alternate camp dates.

7. NON PARTICIPANT ADULTSa. directors, adults, and chaperones should register

as non-participants on the enrollment form. The first registered adult from each school will be charged at the discounted rate of $125.00. Any additional non-participant adults will be billed the “non-participant” fee.

UniTYCampsA Hallmark of the USA! Bring your school groups together with a program designed specifically to promote unity among school activities – spirit/dance/band auxiliary units.

These unique camps will offer the traditional skills based training and material taught in individual programs at the USA, while offer-ing classes to build bridges between school groups.

BAnD LeADerShip Camps UC Santa Cruz July 10-11 and Cal Lutheran July 24-25

The foundation of a successful band is an effective group of student leaders. When every leader has skills that enable them to communicate, set goals and evaluate progress, programs flourish. That’s why USA has developed skill and technique-based camps that include all of your student leaders. We offer classes for section leaders, auxiliary captains, drum majors and band council members. Student leaders learn to work together to improve every group in your program. The USA Band leadership camp stresses the importance of leaders serving the band membership and assisting the director. Send

your entire leadership team for a weekend of development and growth. Band leadership camp is a great way to start off

your season positively and with a unified vision!

TeCHNIqUe AND PeRFORMANCe SKILLSdrum majors have the opportunity to choose their appropriate style and level for technical classes at camp. This focus allows our campers to progress at a comfortable pace with similar-skilled drum majors. Our styles and levels include:

• Mace, Military, Corps/ Open Styles• Novice through Advanced Levels

(“masters” at select camps) • Field Conducting also Offers

Our junior high camp, open exclusively to junior high/middle school students, offers a program designed for the new and experienced drum majors. This three day camp allows students to interact and network with

their peers while learning basic technical skills in spinning, marching, and music awareness.

junior high drum majors are not limited to our junior high camp and are welcome to attend any high school camp if they wish. (participants must be at least 12 years of age.)

All drum majors from a school may be included on one enrollment form as well. (Please see item #2 for detailed information regarding payments)

b. The “On campus” fee includes all housing, meals, and instruction.

c. The “commuter” fee includes instruction only. (meals may be purchased for “commuters” on a per meal basis at most facilities – contact the USA office for more information).

d. The “non-participant” fee includes housing and meals.

e. due to contractual obligations with host facilities, camp fees will be charged to all attendees regard-less of age or participation. Adults may also audit student classes and attend director’s workshops. Participants must be at least 10 years of age to attend a Junior High Camp and at least 12 years of age to attend a High School Camp.

f. Once the USA office has received your enrollment form and payment, an email will be sent to the person designated to receive correspondence. This email will include instructions on how to download important camp information from the online camp registration Tracker.

2. PAyMeNT INFORMATIONa. payment can be made by credit card, school or

cashier’s check, money order, personal check, or school purchase order. Organizational checks are not accepted. make all payments payable to “USA Summer camps.” please no cash or payments made by individual squad members (if registered as a group). A $25.00 fee will be assessed for each returned check.

b. if you are paying with a purchase order, it should be written for the entire camp balance and submitted with a completed enrollment form. make sure the school name appears on the purchase order. Drum Majors submitting purchase orders without a com-pleted enrollment Form will not be registered.

c. As an added convenience, payment can be made with mastercard, viSA, discover, or American express. For payment by credit card, use the space for credit card authorization on the enrollment Form.

3. CANCeLLATION/ADD/CHANGe POLICya. Any changes/cancellations after your enrollment

form has been processed will need to be submitted in writing to the USA office.

b. All payments, except a $50.00 per person deposit, are fully refundable if written notice of cancellation is received in the USA office at least 14 days prior to your camp opening. if you do not receive an invoice confirmation reflecting your revised numbers within 48-hours of submission, please follow up with the USA registration department. Cancellations are of-ficial only when received in writing and confirmed by the USA office.

c. USA will only accept cancellations in writing. d. Because of facility deposits paid by USA, “no-

shows” at camp or cancellations received less than 14 days prior to camp will not receive any type of refund and will be responsible for the full tuition.

e. payments may be applied to substitutes. The substitution must take place at the same time as the cancellation.

f. Should a “no-show” individual at a camp have an outstanding balance (e.g. unpaid school purchase order, etc.), full tuition will still be due for the in-dividual even though she/he did not attend camp.
