CAMP DIRECTOR Q&A SESSIONS

- - FREE •• All Welcome - - Camp Directors are so proud of their camps and want to tell you all about them. Make sure you’re at the Fair at the starting time so you can sit in on the Q&A session to hear all about the camps hiring and ask general questions. This session is free and open to everyone. If you’ve not signed up to the program prior to this, you’ll have an opportunity to do so after. In this case, we suggest that you have completed the online portion of the application prior.

HOW DO I IMPRESS A CAMP DIRECTOR?• Complete your online application and pay the application

fee - this shows the camps you are really committed to going to camp.

• Dress smart casual.

• Research all the camps – review their websites, profiles, positions hiring for – make notes!

• Smile, turn on the Aussie charm and be confident.

• Show your enthusiasm and independence.

• A Camp Director wants to meet an adult who is adaptable and flexible.

• Know your skills and be prepared to talk about them and what you can do and teach (not what you can’t do).

• Bring examples of what you can do and teach at camp. For example:- Load video footage on your mobile device to show you

in action (playing tennis, waterskiing, horse riding etc).

- Arts & Crafts - bring your portfolio showcasing your work.

- Music - if you play an instrument bring it with you and play a tune to impress.

- Lifeguard - wear your uniform to stand out from the crowd and showcase your experience.

VIP ACCESS PASS: EXPRESS AND FIRST ENTRY TO THE FAIRThis pass gives you early and express entry into the Camp Fair. This means you are ahead of the crowd and first in to interview with the camp you want for the job you want!

How do I get my pass?

1. Complete your Camp Counselors USA or Canada online application

2. Pay at least the application fee

3. Complete your CCUSA pre-camp fair interview

Once you’re done, you will receive your “VIP Access Pass” in the post to wear on the day. It also includes an STA Travel Boarding Pass offering $150 off selected tours during your time traveling in the USA.

CCUSA PRE-CAMP INTERVIEW

• This interview is where we go over the finer details of the program. To fulfil visa and program regulations, you must have an interview with CCUSA before you meet and interview with the Camp Directors.

• Once you’ve completed step 2, CCUSA will contact you and book you in for this one on one interview.

• Once your interview is complete you’ll get your VIP Access Pass.

CAN I APPLY ON THE DAY?

Yes, however you will need to complete these items prior to meeting the camps:

1. A CCUSA application form

2. Read and sign the Program Agreement

3. Complete a CCUSA pre-camp fair interview

4. Pay the $99 application fee:

a. Prior to interviewing with the camps - shows them you’re committed to the program

b. Or, once you’re offered a job

Note, applying on the day makes the process take a lot longer, so be prepared to wait. The smart choice is to apply prior to get your VIP Access Pass.
