This course addresses the complex IP technology issues bombarding cable provider employees, specifically those who install, support and troubleshoot problems with Business broadband Internet Access circuits (cable modem or fiber).

Employees will have a unique & targeted understanding of the IP/ Ethernet based technologies their business customers are using over their circuit as well as how to troubleshoot and identify problems.

LAN Router Essentials, WIFI Operation, Testing WIFI Interferers & Noise Levels Customer LAN router essentials & important configurations and terms are learned… Ethernet operation (hard-wired and WIFI) to and from the LAN router.

Checking MAC address client lists, LAN settings, WAN values, NAT, dynamic vs. static IP, port/firewall settings, pinging, tracerouting, ipconfig commands…

How to configure the IP settings on the various customer devices within the LAN. WIFI (2.4GHz & 5GHZ) fundamentals and WIFI testing are covered as well!
