FROM OUR PRINCIPAL

We have had a wonderful Term 1 at Swan Hill Primary

School! Our new Prep students have settled into school

life nicely and we thank everyone for working together

to make this term such a success.

I was impressed by the amount of families who turned

up for our working bee on Sunday. We set a new rec-

ord for the most helpers we’ve ever had at a working

bee! I would like to thank all of those families and staff

who gave up some of their Sunday to help improve our

school grounds. Thank you also to Justin Condely who

did a great deal organising the working bee.

We congratulate Justin, Ingrid, Bex and Jarvis Condely

who welcomed a baby boy into the world on Saturday

afternoon – Ari Justin Condely!

We congratulate Grade 1 teacher Megan Grant, and

Leading Teacher Cailie Skinner, who both participated

in the 100km OXFAM walk over the weekend, raising

money for those in poverty! An amazing effort.

Every four years, schools are required to undergo a re-

view and this year is Swan Hill Primary School’s turn.

Yesterday, I travelled to Melbourne to learn about the

new review process and requirements. Next term, we

will spend time reviewing the last four year period and

then work toward setting the direction for the next

four year period, during Term 3 and 4. An exciting time

to celebrate our success and work together to set

goals, to ensure our school continues to provide the

best possible educational opportunities for our stu-

dents.

The ANZAC Day parade will take place during the first

week of Term 1 – Thursday 25th April. Members of our

school community are invited to come along to the pa-

rade. Further details will be provided in the Newsletter

in Week 1.

I hope everyone has a safe and happy holiday break.

We look forward to seeing everyone back at school on

Tuesday 23rd of April.
