INVITATION It is a pleasure for me to invite you to the fifth interdisciplinary musculoskeletal ultrasound course that takes place in Vienna. Main focus in this course is sports injuries and imaging of peripheral nerves and lesions in context with clinical findings and soft tissue tumors. In addition, rheumatic diseases, overuse syndromes, and acute musculoskeletal lesions will be discussed and ultrasound training will be performed on patients.
This interdisciplinary musculoskeletal ultrasound course is aimed at radiologists and clinicians wanting to improve ultrasound into their clinical practice. Our learning objectives are
• the physics of ultrasound
• ESSR guidelines for ultrasound examination
• clinical aspects and indications for ultrasound
• specific pathologies and typical imaging patterns
• intensive training in hands-on workshops on patients
• live demonstration
• pathologic correlations of cadaver joints with ultrasound and MRI findings
The faculty includes nationally and internationally known Consultants in Radiology, Physical Medicine, Orthopedics, and Rheumatology with extensive experience in the practice and teaching. Using a combination of lectures and hands-on workshops (basic to advanced), this course will teach the essentials of musculoskeletal radiology, and gives you the confidence to practice.
