unfold before your eyes, thereare a few Colonial re-enact-ments you can witness.

Close to home, Savannah is

having their Colonial Faire andMuster in its historical district on Feb. 2.

Fort Lauderdale, Fla. hoststheir annual Renaissance Fair on Feb. 9. Check out the

Tristate activities on page 15.If you’re looking for a true

taste of the South, you might consider a visit to Charleston,S.C. The city will serenade thestreets with its 18th AnnualLow Country Blues Festival onFeb. 9.

If your Southern taste tends

toward the Creole side, try look-ing in your own back yard where Club Stewart will have a sample of the Mardi Gras cele-

bration available. It will host our version of the Mardi GrasBrunch on Feb. 3. A cookingclass for the kids will be offeredalso.

Ninety-seven miles south of us, St. Marys, Ga. will

have their annual Mardi GrasFestival on Feb. 1 with plenty of activities and onstage enter-tainment for the whole Family.

Towards the end of themonth, Army CommunityServices will bring out the box-ing gloves as they host the BigChill Chili Cook-off at Fort Stewart on Feb. 22. See Page 8.

maybe two!) and study the clues,they all lead you to a specific spot in one of our many locations on post. Once you find the right

place it’s time to search high and low for Rocky!

Her e are the rules: The scavenger hunt will take place

Jan. 28 through close of business on Feb. 18. Take your cut-out list with you to each location . Once there, notify the front desk staff that you are participating in the “Where's Rocky” Scavenger Hunt.

After locating Rocky, re-visit the front desk to receive a prize for completing that stage and get your checklist stamped. (In order to get credit for each stage, you MUST get your checklist stamped by an MWR staff member with a special MWR stamp.) Once all 10 clues are stamped please find a drop box at ANY of the 10 loca- tions and remember to include your contact information.

C ongratulations you are already a winner! Just for

getting this far, you will receive

recognition on Feb. 22 at the

MWR Chili Cook-off, a book of MWR coupons, a special gift and an award.

A ll participants who find the first 10 Rockys and turn in

Mary Ross Waterfront Parkplays host to a variety of festivalsnd events throughout the year.

Mary Ross Park is also a favoritedocking site for passenger cruiseines. The park and marina, thentique and specialty shops, gal-eries, restaurants and the beauti-ul, extensive historic residential

neighborhoods are all located with-n the Old Town Brunswick

National Register Historic District.At Mary Ross Waterfront Park,

visitors can enjoy events such as

the Peaches to the Beaches AnnualYard Sale upcoming on the secondweekend in March. This park alsofeatures the 212-mile yard sale thatruns along U.S. Highway 341, theGolden Isles Parkway in Georgia.

The Brunswick Rockin'Stewbilee is held the secondSaturday in October. During thedifferent events that happen at thispeaceful and serene escape, dozensof vendors offer visitors everythingfrom tasting the Brunswick Stewand competing for the annual cook

off, a 5k race, March of Dimes

Walk, Pooch Parade, Car Showand evening concerts. Rocky” Scavenger Hunt

on Fort Stewart!

Here are the rules: The scavenger hunt will take place from Jan. 28th. through close of business on Feb. 18th. Take your cut out list with you to each location . Once there, notify the front desk staff that you are participating in the Where's Rocky Scavenger Hunt.

After locating Rocky, re-visit the front desk to receive a prize for completing that stage and get your checklist stamped. (In order to get credit for each stage, you MUST get your checklist stamped by an MWR staff member with a special MWR stamp.) Once all 10

clues are stamped please find a drop box at ANY of the 10 locations and remember to include your contact information.

All ages are encouraged to participate in this fun & interactive scavenger hunt; however, in order to win the prize, youth ages 17

and under must be accompanied by an adult.
