I would like to acknowledge the work that Mrs Towner has done in her me at Burringbar Public School. Since arriving here at Burringbar Public School Mrs Towner has been such a wonderful support to me being an absolute fountain of knowledge. Judy’s qualies are many but most important- ly she is a fantasc person. Always willing to have a chat or share a laugh. Over the last three and a half years that I have been here I have seen the care and concern she has shown to students. Thanks for all the hard work you have done. Mrs Towner is extremely hard working and will leave a lile hole in our community. On behalf of the staff and community I wish you all the best to you Mrs Towner. You will be sorely missed. Book Fair and Book Parade – Thursday Week 4 at 9.10am The book parade and Book Fair are being held in Week 4 on Thursday 16. The parade will begin at 9.10 where concluding this students will be able to go with their parents to the Book Fair. For the book parade students will be required to dress up as their favourite book character. Please start thinking of what you would like your child to get dressed up as. It doesn’t have to be elaborate. Just something simple to add to the fun of the day. Concluding the book parade we will have our Book Fair. Students will be able to purchase books and a percentage of all books will go back to the school. So please support us. Today during lessons students completed a wish list of books they would like to purchase at the Book Fair. Instruc- ons on the back of the wish list will allow you to pay online. If on the day we run out of a book that you would like to purchase we will take your money and back order the book that is required. The Book Fair will be on display in the library tomorrow for parents to browse the books. It is a fun day and we are all pumped. 9 August 2018 Burringbar Public School Compleon of K/1D’s Igloo Science Project.

Small School’s Athletics

Carnival We had some fantastic results from the carnival. It was a great day and our students had lots of fun

competing. A highlight for me was Tahj S throwing in the discus. He was only 7cm off beating the record for a junior boy and threw the biggest throw out of all students on the day. A special congratulations goes to some students who placed as overall winners for their ages in the carnival.

They included; Tahj Siddell – 2nd Junior boy, Jaxon Jones – 2nd 11 Years boy, James Challis – 3rd 11 Years boy and Layla Nolan – 1st Senior girls.
