Refrigerator and Microwave Combo Unit

Rates:

Academic Year- $215

One Semester Rental- $145

Purchase Whole Unit- $499

Rhody Protection Program- $25 (optional)

Full Replacement of Unit- $499

Check-In:

Customer must come into store to either sign for an existing order placed through our web store and set

up a delivery time or sign up for rental in person.

Delivery:

Student/parent has to come to the URI Bookstore to sign agreement and schedule a delivery date and

time.

Rental Dates:

Full Academic Year Rental:

August 26th to May 12th

One Semester Rental:

Fall- August 26th to December 20th

Spring- January 18th to May 12th

When to Order:

Online ordering will be available August 10th. Rentals can also be purchased in-store.

Ordering:

All pre-ordering will be done through the Bookstore website. Students/parents will place order online,

accept terms and conditions, and pay prior to check-in on move-in weekend.

Terms and Conditions:

1. The parent/student agrees to schedule a delivery date and time in person at the URI

Bookstore as well as sign their rental agreement. This will occur post online ordering.

2. URI Bookstore will be held responsible for any mechanical issues with the unit unless it is clear

that the issue was caused by misuse or treatment.

3. Full payment is required prior to delivery whether it is purchased in-store or online.

4. URI Bookstore is not responsible for any splitting of the payment amongst roommates. There

will be one person in the room that the refrigerator will be assigned to.

5. The student/parent agrees to purchase a replacement unit for any or all damages caused by

misuse or treatment.

6. To avoid additional charges, a pick-up date must be scheduled prior to the rental deadline.

The unit must also be clean, defrosted, dry, and have all of its original parts. (There will be an

additional charge of $25.00 if not clean, $40 if the Bookstore has to make more than one trip

for pickup and $30.00 if there are any original parts missing.

7. All units must remain on campus during the rental period.

8. There will be no refunds or cancellations of rental orders once the delivery date has been

scheduled or a delivery has been made.

9. If for any reason a unit needs to be returned sooner than the last day of classes (December

9th) due to transfer or other extenuating circumstances, the Bookstore will pick the unit up

from the residence hall but there will be NO REFUNDS.

10. Students are not permitted to move the unit on their own. If there is a room change of any

kind, please contact the Bookstore and we will handle the move for a fee of $40.00.

11. If the unit is moved by the student without notification to the Bookstore, there will be a fee of

$20.00 since the pick-up location differs from the delivery location.
