What is urbanKITCHEN?urbanKITCHEN is a design concept, by Blum Singapore, to introduce, excellently designed, perfectly planned and meticulously manufactured kitchen to Singapore homes and families. Manufactured according to the high-est standards employed by almost all major kitchen labels in Europe, urbanKITCHEN provides quality while being extremely affordable.

Does this mean that Blum now makes kitchens?No, not at all! We conceived the urbanKITCHEN concept to enable the Singapore industry to locally manufacture and install these kitchens in a highly precise and cost effective manner.The quality of each urbanKITCHEN is comparable to imported kitchens by European manufacturers.

That sounds expensive. Doesn’t this make locally build kitchens expensive for the average home owner?No, quite the contrary actually.Being a modular kitchen, urbanKITCHEN is therefore very cost effective. Designers would not need to design each new kitchen from scratch but rather, utilising the urbanKITCHEN cabinet library, they can build the perfect kitchen for any budget and any room layout with the modules provided.

This sounds exactly like it is being done by the big European kitchen manufacturers! Precisely so! The concept of urbanKITCHEN allows such standards to exist in our local market, albeit at a highly cost effective alternative. These kitchens are as efficient and precise as the rest of the world’s kitchen industry.

How do you ensure that urbanKITCHEN becomes affordable for any budget?It is really quite simple. The cost of a kitchen is largely determined by how many cabinets you choose for your kitchen. Regardless of what hardware you will have, cabinets will be a major part to your kitchen. Hence, we ensure that it becomes affordable by allowing various ranges in laminates, countertops and the Blum hardware. Depending on your budget, you can customise your kitchen hardware by having doors with 2 Blum hinges or you could have 4 Blum TANDEMBOX or LEGRABOX box systems.

Well, that would be true, but urbanKITCHEN was not conceived by Blum Singapore to design the most expensive, well equipped kitchen. Can I personalise my kitchen?You can play with the various de-sign and hardware options and be presented with the immediate price comparison to your original plan. Meaning, you can decide to choose a cabinet with 4 drawers instead of 2 hinges or explore the different cabinet colours, laminate range or even the various countertop options for your kitchen. The price for these changes will be reflected immediately and you can work it around your budget.

The design of a kitchen takes many days so how do you achieve this in just one hour?Well, we have a highly trained and fully experienced planning team in the Blum showroom. TIP-ON

TIP-ON is a mechanical opening support system for beautifully func-tional opening. A single press on the front is enough to open handle-less drawers, doors and lift systems with a feather-light gliding action.

SERVO-DRIVE

SERVO-DRIVE, our electrical motion support system, opens pull-outs and lift systems with the lightest touch on the front. A special feature of SERVO-DRIVE for the AVENTOS series is an easily accessible ergonomic switch for automatic closing. With its inte-grated BLUMOTION mechanism, SERVO-DRIVE is synonymous with precision motion.
