Proposal 1: Urban development project proposals must show that they have surveyed the residents and that the redevelopment project will meet some of the needs of the residents.
Proposal 2: Cities need to maintain processes that empower citizen to learn about active citizenship so that they can stay involved in political issues that directly affect them such as redevelopment and urban renewal.
Proposal 3: Cities need to create systems that keep developers accountable to their original proposals, such as inspections on progress for neighborhood improvement as stated by resident improvement or citizen advocacy and accountability processes where residents can report developers who are not meeting resident needs.
