1. The residents average income is lower to middle level.2. Residents daily needs are suplied by the market. Especially food like a vegetables, fruits, and herbal of nature product.

Most of residents are elementary and junior high school graduates, but has creativity to built cultural centre, and painting centre.

Urban farming is a chain of industries that produce, process and sell food and energy to meet the consumer needs of the city. (FAO)

Urban Farming also contributes to saving the environment with waste management and create a cleaner city with the implementation of 3R (reuse, reduse, recycle) for the management of municipal solid waste.

Urban farming offers immediate benefit to residents through the fulfillment of quality food needs like vegetables, fruits, tubers, etc.

The residents do not have to worry about harmful substances contained in the plant. This way, the residents becomes consumers and also producers of their own food.

• Residents in the high densely area of Cikapundung River Fringe has a desire to be green customers or consumers who obtain food from natural sources directly.

• Urban farming also indirectly beneficial as green open spaces that serve the city include creating ecologically green, creating a balance between the constructed area and the vegetation area, to protect the water system, conservation of biodiversity, reduce pollutants, producing oxygen, solar radiation control, and providing environmental education to children.

• Implement urban farming in densely populated areas, need to be strengthened internally and strengthened the external development.

RECOMMENDATION

Implementation TechniquesImplementation steps for realizing the idea of urban farming is based on:1.Identify potential application and development of urban farming in the city according priority2.Gradual approach (gradually) to community leaders as the beginning of the partnership with the community.3.Consultation and dissemination whole urban farming program that will be implemented4.Doing mechanism with communities in monitoring the implementation of urban farming5.Mobilization to residents to implement agreed programs.6.Conduct periodic evaluation mechanism.

Institute for the potential development of specific areas of the city under the Local Government

The allocation of state funds and budgets for the development of local government

The use of organic agriculture as a whole in the land to be developed

Non-Government Organitations (NGOs) Submission of a proposed community development as a sustainable CSR program (a great chance to get 3% of the total profit of the company in accordance with Law No.. 27th 2008 on the company's CSR program)

Training and implementation of urban farming to the citizens of the city, as well as the benefits and advantages

Academics (students / Universities) Fund low-interest loans from state-owned banks

Socialization application of urban farming on land that is large enough to later be able to apply at home each resident
