Candidates must answer all the questions.

1.2 Candidates should not be penalised if they change the

order of the words given as long as the task is fulfilled.

1.3 Each question carries 1 mark.Do not award half mark.

1.4 The total marks for this section is 10



2.1 To assess whether candidates are ONE grammatically

correct sentences.



3.1 To write one grammatically correct based on the

picture with the two given words.

3.2 To use both words in its form and the sentence must

describe the picture.

3.3 To use corrects spelling and punctuation in their

sentences.



MARKS CRITERIA

1 MARK

The sentence is grammatically correct.

Both words are used in their given form.

The sentences is based on the picture.

There are no punctuation and spelling errors.

0 MARK

The sentence contains grammatical

/punctuation/spelling error..

The form of the given words is charged.

The sentence is not based on picture.None or only one of the given words is used.

The given words are copied.

The given words are used in more than one

sentence.





1.1 Candidates must answer this question – Question 2.1.2 Candidates are required to transfer information from a giventext to another which consists of five blanks.

1.3 Content points are given if the core information is correctlyselected, placed and spelt.

1.4 Punctuation and structure errors are marked under expression.1.5 Marks for expression would still be awarded for grammaticallycorrect structure even though the correct word(s) is / are not used.The sentence must be logically correct.

1.6 Total marks : 15 marks



2.1 To assess whether candidates are able totransfer information appropriately withoutchanging its original meaning from a text intoa given frame.

2.2 To assess candidate’s ability to use theEnglish Language correctly.



3.1 To transfer information intelligentlyand appropriately into a given framework.

3.2 To use correct tenses and structure in

their answers.



1.The answers in this section are marked on accuracy and

relevance of language used.
