While an intense focus has been placed on the new house over the past couple semesters, the chapter has grown immensely as a brotherhood and from a campus wide perspective. Later this semester the brothers will initiate our Beta class (4/21) and leave for Quincy, IL that following morning for our annual spring Brotherhood retreat. Athletically the chapter has begun to reestablish itself in the wake of a Fraternity Orange Football Championship and a consecutive trip to the basketball playoffs. The men are also anticipating numerous exchanges with sororities, the first Rose Ball since re- chartering, and an intense 300 item scavenger hunt encompassing the entire campus to encourage brotherhood. The second semester in our new home As many of you know, on September 29 th of 2005 brothers from Upsilon chapter were finally allowed to move into the brand new house at the corner of Euclid and Gregory. The chapter continues to bring in new residents in our ultimate goal of filling the house as soon as possible. Currently, 19 brothers occupy the first three floors of the house and come next fall, the chapter is anticipating close to maximum occupancy. The catering service has provided the brothers with excellent Chapter dinners and nearly all can be found in front of the big screen television when Illinois basketball is playing. All brothers are extremely proud of what has been accomplished and aim to maintain the house to the best of our abilities at all times. We would also like to thank all alumni who have participated in the rebuilding process. Our dream has finally come to fruition and we have many of you to thank. A Word from the Archon… Brothers of Upsilon - The spring semester has been very exciting for our chapter. Currently 19 men are enjoying living in the new house for the first full semester, and 23 are living out of the house spread around campus, including 7 new associate members. The chapter has been keeping busy with recruitment, an internal social event every other week, and several events with sororities such as Kappa Delta, Alpha Phi, and Chi Omega. We just finished celebrating our one year anniversary of our re- chartering, and the chapter is looking forward to our annual spring Brotherhood Retreat and Rose Ball Formal in April. We plan to begin another round of recruitment in mid-March to compensate for the loss of 15 seniors to graduation. Our seniors are all Founding Fathers, and have been very dedicated to our chapter for their four years in Champaign. The men are also anticipating numerous exchanges with sororities, the first Rose Ball since re-chartering, and an intense 300 item scavenger hunt encompassing the entire campus to encourage brotherhood.

The second semester in our new home

As many of you know, on September 29th of 2005 brothers from Upsilon chapter were finally allowed to move into the brand new house at the corner of Euclid and Gregory.

A Word from the Archon… Brothers of Upsilon -

The spring semester has been very exciting for our chapter.

We just finished celebrating our one year anniversary of our re-chartering, and the chapter is looking forward to our annual spring Brotherhood Retreat and Rose Ball Formal in April. We plan to begin another round of recruitment in mid-March to compensate for the loss of 15 seniors to graduation. Our seniors are all Founding Fathers, and have been very dedicated to our chapter for their four years in Champaign.

Please do not hesitate to contact me at [email protected] if you have any questions or if you will be on campus and would like to see our chapter's beautiful new house.

Fraternally, Michael Munaretto, Archon

On February 19, the Upsilon Chapter celebrated the one year anniversary of Upsilon’s re-founding. Founding fathers, Alpha,

and Beta classes alike were all able to come together for an Italian luncheon at Dom’s in Champaign to reflect on our experiences and

share our thoughts for the future.
