Community Celebration & Program Kickoff

A community celebration and kickoff for fall programs is being

planned for Wednesday, August 16th in the Christian Life Center at

6:00 p.m. Make plans to join us for dinner (donations accepted) and

take part in the trivia challenge and sing-a-long! Children and youth

bring your backpacks to be blessed to start off the school year right.

You won’t want to miss hearing about the exciting programs being

offered beginning August 23rd.

High School Seniors 2018 The HOPE Sunday School Class is preparing for their

Senior Prayer Pals. If you are a high school senior or know

a senior who attends FUMC, please forward their name,

address, and the name of the school they attend to the

church office, 476-9694. The HOPE class would like to include all

High School Seniors in our church and ensure that no one is left off

the list. Each Senior will receive a school supply gift bag.

Lay Leadership Involvement for 2018

Charge Conference is just around the corner. This is the time we

celebrate ministries of the past year and set goals and leadership for

next year. The Lay Leadership Committee will be meeting soon to

nominate leadership for next year. We want you!

Included in today’s bulletin, you will find a Lay Leadership Involvement

for 2018 insert. This is a step you can take in putting your passions into

action. Please prayerfully consider where God is calling you to be part of

Divorce Recovery Sessions Learn how to heal from the deep hurt of divorce and discover hope

for your future. Four divorce recovery sessions will be held beginning Wednesday, August 30

th from 6:00-7:30 p.m.

in the GO Classroom and are open to anyone who has experienced the pain and trauma of divorce. Sessions will

be led by Cindy Pease, a licensed Christian Counselor.

Free Yoga Classes Yoga classes, provided by Michelle Tomlinson, will be offered in the Christian Life Center starting Monday, August 21st at 6:00 p.m. Classes will continue each Monday evening for eight weeks excluding Labor Day. Please wear comfortable clothing and bring a mat.
