Uponor solutions

The moderate temperature of the water (18-30°C ) and the large radiant surfaces, ensuring maximum comfort and using minimal energy, makes the Uponor radiant heating and cooling system particularly suitable for in-creasing the efficiency of the heat source, such as a con-densing boiler or heat pump, whilst enabling the use of renewable energy and sources of free cooling.

Uponor radiant heating and cooling ensures a superior indoor environment. The embedded systems provide a perfect thermal environment and can be individually controlled in each room and each apartment.

With minimum air circulation, draught and dust prob-lems are eliminated. In addition, Uponor radiant heating and cooling operates noiselessly and without step noise nuisance.

The absence of radiators, fan coils or other cumbersome devices means complete freedom in terms of layout and furnishing and allows all available space to be utilised to its full potential.

Uponor Riser System Tap water and radiator connection systems which are built modularly for the Press, Quick&Easy and Clamp lines. Fewer parts, greater flexibility, easier planning and quicker processing, for a cost-effective installation.

Uponor Radiator Connection On-Wall System Rigid pipe for the Press line for reno-vation and visible installations. Easy and secure to install, with no bevel needed. Colour-coded and with test-safety fittings.

Uponor Tap Water Wet and Dry In-Wall System The fittings in PPSU have no me-tallic impact on tap water in the Quick&Easy, RTM and Press lines. The materials are manufactured to the highest hygiene standards.

Uponor Tap Water On-Wall System For dimensions of 12 - 110 mm the Press line is perfect from the water meter to the tap. The RTM line is available in dimen-sions up to 32 mm.

Low temperature heating and high-temperature cooling is the key to the integration of renewable energy sources into high-performance buildings. Using large surfaces as emitters allows heating and cooling at temperatures very close to that of the ambient environment.

This means that renewable energy available from the ground, water, sun, and air can be integrated and utilised with ease. In addition the moderate temperatures used in radiant heating and cooling systems improve the efficiency of condensing boilers and heat pumps.

An optimal indoor environment requires careful design of the thermal environment, air quality, acoustic condi-tions and lighting. These factors are closely linked and optimal comfort for the end user requires an integrated design of the building envelope and its technical sys-tems. In addition, the end user requires installations that are clean, safe and easy to operate.

The aim of heating and cooling systems is to provide a healthy and comfortable thermal environment with low energy consumption. Uponor radiant systems are de-signed to provide optimal room temperature distribu-tion, which ensures perfect thermal comfort throughout the year.

Radiant systems provide superior thermal comfort because the energy exchange takes place as radiation between large surfaces in the room and not by convec-tion with moving air. Radiant heat exchange results in uniform temperatures within all room surfaces (floor, walls and ceiling) in such way that there is no radiation asymmetry. This ensures a perfect thermal balance be-tween the human body and its surroundings.

The end user will have the pleasure of a comfortable heated floor in the winter, and the option of comfort cooling in the hot summer months.
