Updating Windows XP

1. Open Internet Explorer.

2. Select Tools

3. Select Windows Update

4. Click in the yellow area under the address bar, and select Run Add On.

5. Select Run in the Security Warning box

6. Select Install in the Security Warning Box

7. Select Express

8. Windows will now check for updates. This could take 30 minutes to an hour, depending on how

many updates are needed.

9. Select Yes if you get a Security Message about sending information over the Internet.

10. Select Install Updates. This may take another 30 minutes to an hour, depending on how many

are needed.

11. Updates will be downloaded and installed. Again, this could take 30 minutes to an hour,

depending on how many are needed.

12. Save your work, close out of any open applications, and Restart your computer.
