• Location of the 8ECM• 8ECM organisers will be in charge

for logistic and organisational support

• The participants of an internal SC will be asked to register for the congress as well and a combined fee will not exceed 120% of the fee of 8ECM

External Satellite Conference

• Stand alone conferences• The Organising Committee of 8ECM

will waive fee for the main organiser of the external SC in the case that at least 50 SC participants register

Seeking Active Participation of Mathematical Societies

Invitation to:

• Hold a meeting of your Society (LMS) • Contribute to the Exhibition of stamps with

mathematical contents • Rent a booth for exhibiting publications and presenting

activities • Contribute to the exhibition of mathematical models • Organise a thematic MS, based on bilateral and

multilateral projects (like CSASC).


Seeking Active Participation of EMS Committees

Invitation to all EMS committees to hold their meetings during the 8ECM. A special time slot will be set aside for

such meetings.


European Women in Mathematics

• European Women in Mathematics are invited to organise their meeting as a Satellite Event and a MS at the 8ECM

• Invitation to organise a special exhibition, dedicated to Women in Mathematics.


Accompanying Persons

• There will be a wide range of activities organised for accompanying persons

• A daycare for children will be provided


Cooperation with Euroscience Open Forum 2020 - ESOF 2020

• Over 4,000 researchers, educators, entrepreneurs, policy makers and journalists and from all over Europe are expected to attend.

• As part of the event, a Festival of Science will take place from June 27 to July 11, 2020, hosting various theatre performances, concerts, street events, exhibitions and much more.

• For the first time in its history, the EuroScience Open Forum is opening up outside the national borders of its hosting city.

• Coordination of joint initiatives will continue as early as April 16, 2019 in Vipava, where the Slovene-Italian Research Day will be held.
