UPDATE PROCESS OVERVIEW
USERREGISTRATION
1. User logon to www.speednavi.com (enter Malaysia-English)2. User create new account with unique Username + Password.
NEWAUTHENTICATE
▪ Register the software for the first time under the new account.

▪ Get new Serial key and Authentication key for new update.

Please write down the Username and
Password in the user manual for
future reference.
3. Fill in user information. Then click Next Step.
2. NEW AUTHENTICATION
1. Type in the S/W key
2. Type in the H/W key
3. Then Press Confirm

8. Fill in existing S/W & H/W keys. Confirmation screen will appear after click CONFIRM.

9. Registered keys are displayed. Click on FREE button to get new keys. Then Click OK on confirmation screen.

Copy the H/W, S/W and Auth key into a paper for
Product Registration at vehicle
Select your car model. Eg. Nissan Teana
4. Downloading New Update12. UPDATE NEWS – Select According to your car model.
• You will see a pop up window. Click “SAVE” to a location on the desktop. This download will take approximately 60 minutes depending on your internet speed.
• You will see a Zip file after completion of download. Please verify the file size is the same as published on the link
• Use any Unzipping software (E.g.. WinZip) to unzip the
downloaded file into a “Speednavi” folder.

5. Replace SD card file and register in vehicle
• Remove SD card from TCAT Multimedia Navigator then insert to any Virus free Computer.
• Regarding old POI back up.– “My Point” for SPEEDNAVI V3 is saved into file “Basic.mgf” format which can find
in “SpeedNavi\UserData\Userpoi” – Copy this “Basic.mgf” and save it on the computer.
• Please re-format the SD card.• Note: Pls back up any music/movie files to computer before reformatting the SD card.
• Copy the unzipped Speednavi folder into the formatted SD card.
• Insert the SD card into the Navigation system and Power ON.
• Click Navi icon, Product Registration page will be shown.

6. Restore old POI into new version
• After registration of licenses, remove the SD card and re-insert into the computer again.
• Refer to instructions of POI Editor as found in the Speednavi update link.• Convert and restore the old data into the new Speednavi 4 version. • Re-insert the SD card into the vehicle and check the converted saved POIs.
Troubleshooting/FAQ Guide
Symptoms/ Questions
1. System says I have keyed in Wrong serial/license key.
2. Registration page does not appear. No reaction when I press the Navi button on the main menu.
3. I lost my user manual, or do not have the original H/W, S/W or Authentication Key.
4. I lost/forgot my Speednavi account username or password.
5. How do I confirm that the database has been updated?
6. Can I transfer my saved POI to the new update?
Solution
1. Re-format SD card and copy new Speednavi folder into SD card and register again.
2. Ensure zip file is fully downloaded, properly unzipped and properly copied into SD card.
3. If you can still use the Speednavi, go to System Info. You can find the H/W and S/W key there.If you cannot use the Speednavi, please email [email protected] for assistance.
4. Click on “Find ID and Password”. New password will be sent to your earlier submitted email.
5. Go to System Info and check map version.
6. Yes. Please refer to Step 5.
