ORNL FCU employees give back to the community!

Each fall, ORNL Federal Credit Union employees join together to raise funds for

the United Way and the 2013 campaign exceeded expectations as they lived

the credit union motto ‘people helping people’! The theme of this year’s internal

fundraising effort was Uni and Ted Way’s Excellent Adventure, a parody of the

movie Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure. The employee United Way campaign was

led by internal advocates who brought new energy and creativity to the fundraising

effort. Money raised for the United Way – including employee donations, ORNL

FCU’s corporate donation, and the interactive employee auction site – totaled

$65,926.21, an increase of over 65% from the 2012 campaign. The success of

ORNL FCU’s internal United Way campaign was a direct effect of all employees

joining together to help better the communities where they live, work, and play!
