DUEL IN THE DESERT: The Dodgers continue their six-game road
trip (1-2) with the first of three games against the D-backs at Chase
Field. Los Angeles opened the trip with three one-run contests in San
Francisco, winning on Friday before dropping their last two games
over the weekend. Following the three-game set in Arizona, the
Dodgers will return to Los Angeles for a seven-game homestand
against the Brewers (4 G) and Nationals (3 G).
The Dodgers won two of three against the D-backs in April at
Dodger Stadium and have gone 30-11 (.732) against Arizona
since the start of the 2014 season, the best record by any
MLB team against a divisional opponent in that span –

The Dodgers will face Zack Greinke for the first time tonight
since May 31, 2012, when he allowed one run on nine hits in
6.0 innings and picked up the win in a 6-2 Brewers victory at
Los Angeles. Chase Utley (4-for-12, 2 2B, HR) and Howie
Kendrick (2-for-11, 2B) are the only Dodger hitters with
double-digit at-bats against their former teammate, who went
51-15 with a 2.30 ERA in 92 starts during his three seasons
with Los Angeles.
Today, the Dodgers released Carl Crawford from their roster.
ROCK ON!: The Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation (LADF)
announced today its second annual Blue Diamond Gala - Thursday,
July 28 at Dodger Stadium - will feature an exclusive concert by multi-
Grammy Award®-winning rock band Fleetwood Mac, which will be
the group’s only public performance for 2016. The gala will also honor
legendary Dodger broadcaster and Hall of Famer Vin Scully. This
year’s event, presented by the Dodgers’ ownership group, will be an
intimate evening with the Dodger players and coaches. More
information can be found online at www.dodgers.com/gala.
ROAD WARRIOR: Adrián González was held hitless last night, but
has a .373/.444/.525 slashline in 30 road games this year, going 44-for-
118 with six doubles, four homers and 24 RBI. González’s road batting
average ranks fourth in the Majors and figures to continue to rise with
his career-long success in 74 games at Chase Field:
Highest OPS, Chase Field History (min. 150 AB)
1. Barry Bonds 1.210
2. Adrián González 1.043
3. James Loney 1.028
4. Albert Pujols .981
Gonzalez’s .337 batting average (90-for-267) ranks fifth in
ballpark history (min. 150 AB), two spots behind Dodger
manager Dave Roberts, who posted a .346 mark (56-for-162)
in 44 career games at Arizona.
Overall, in 156 games against the D-backs, Gonzalez has hit
34 home runs, the third most against the club in franchise
history, behind only Barry Bonds (39) and Todd Helton (35)
– Source: Stats, LLC.
MILESTONE WATCH: Dodger infielder Chase Utley went 3-for-4
last night, tying a season high with three hits for the fifth time. Utley
has 35 runs scored on the season and, with 998 runs in his career, is
closing in on scoring 1,000-career runs, a feat that has been
accomplished by just 323 Major Leaguers. Utley’s 35 runs rank third in
the National League among leadoff hitters.
Adrián González is approaching two career milestones,
entering tonight’s game just four home runs shy of 300 and
seven doubles away from 400. He would become just the
seventh active player to reach both marks.
GOLDEN GLOVEWORK: By defensive efficiency, which measures
turning balls in play into outs, the Dodgers rank second in the Majors,
trailing only the Cubs, with a .722 efficiency rating according to
Baseball-Reference.com.
The Dodgers have committed only 30 errors, tied for the
fourth-fewest of any MLB team, behind only the Nationals
(23), White Sox (25) and Giants (29). The club’s .987 fielding
pct. is tied for the fourth-best mark in the Majors.
HILLTOPPERS: The Dodgers have gone 12-8 in their last 20 games
and benefitted from some of the league’s best pitching performances
during the last three weeks:

successfully converting 17 of 20 save opportunities.
Adam Liberatore has not allowed a run in his last 13 games

Joe Blanton ranks among NL relievers in opponents’ batting
average (.143, 3rd) and WHIP (0.75, 3rd).
DEMANDING A RECOUNT: The latest National League All-Star
balloting update was released last week and Los Angeles players need
the fans’ help, as only one Dodger (Adrián González, 3rd at 1B) was
among the NL vote leaders. Fans can vote for starters a total of 35
times with the 2016 Esurance MLB All-Star Game Ballot online at
Dodgers.com/vote, including a maximum of five valid ballots cast in
any 24-hour period. Voting ends Thursday, June 30 at 8:59 p.m.
Corey Seager wasn’t among the top five vote-getters at
shortstop despite topping NL shortstops in hits, while ranking
among the position leaders in runs (2nd), home runs (2nd), RBI

rehab start Saturday for Single-A Rancho Cucamonga at Lake
Elsinore (2.0 IP, R, HR, BB, 20 P) and is expected to pitch
next on Thursday.

season and the club leads all of Major League Baseball in
player games missed on the DL (642) and player days on the
disabled list (703). The next closest team in both of those
categories is the Oakland Athletics, who had 559 player
