IHS SPRING FLING: POSTPONED We must follow state and national guidelines, therefore, this year’s Spring Fling and other spring activities will be postponed, including Porch Music - Baker Family (5/9), and Porch Music - Hey Dave (5/23). We will discuss further how we will handle our Fall lineup and will keep everyone posted. IHS is hopeful that the coronavirus will run its course sooner rather than later and we’ll be able to celebrate and enjoy Porch Music again later in the year. Stay tuned for information regarding IHS events.

GARDEN CLUB ACTIVITIES SUSPENDED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICEThe Garden Club has cancelled all meetings, shared events, or social get-togethers in 2020, or until the CDC deems it safe to resume normal activities, especially for the 65-year plus age group. We will contact members via email and send updates about what gardeners at Innsbrook are doing. Think of this time as an “informal” gardening season. Volunteer gardening opportunities may include relocating demonstration garden plants to the IHS village at the log cabin, tending greenhouse plants, and potentially conducting a plant sale on Saturday, May 9, in a “self-serve” format outdoors at the IBK Property Management area. Be safe, keep in touch, and enjoy your gardens. Do not hesitate to contact me with thoughts or concerns at [email protected] or 636.745.0107.

Although the building is closed, we’ve turned around our wifi antennas towards the parking areas in an effort to provide connectivity to the safety and comfort of your vehicle. Please refrain from binge watching streaming services like Netflix, as this would reduce performance for everyone else. Look for the Innsbrook Guest network. No password is required.

In celebration of our State’s 200th anniversary, one quilt block from each county along with the independent City of St. Louis will be featured in this special piece. The quilt highlights characteristics of Missouri culture and style. Our very own IBK property owner, Marsha Tischler, submitted her block inspired by our Log Cabin and it was chosen! Below is a photo of her gorgeous block. We are so excited, proud and happy for Marsha!

CLASSIFIED ADS SUSPENDED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE To do our part in maintaining social distancing, we made the tough decision to suspend classified ads for the time being. We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding. We will keep all current classified ads on file for potential future publication. Watch the Village Views for a call for classified ads when we are able to resume this section of the newsletter. If you have a pending ad and the status of your item changes, feel free to notify [email protected] that your ad is no longer current.

WATER CONSERVATION TIPS Due to the higher-than-average population using their Innsbrook property for extended periods of time, we are experiencing water consumption that is also higher than average. Due to this increase it is only prudent that, as a community, we should begin to adopt best practices for water conservation, also. Because water is an essential sanitary resource for all residents, please consider helping out by practicing smart water conservation. How can you help conserve water at Innsbrook? Here are a few tips and recommendations from Greg Nissing, Utilities Manager.• Take shorter showers.• Run dishwasher and washing machine only when necessary, and with a full load.• Ensure none of your fixtures are leaking. If they are, Innsbrook Services (ext. 9150 or email [email protected]) can help.• Flush toilets less often.• Turn the water off when brushing your teeth.Thank you for your help preserving resources for you and all your Innsbrook neighbors!

VILLAGE VIEWS GOES ALL-DIGITAL, TEMPORARILY For the time being, the Village Views will temporarily be moving to 100% digital distribution to avoid touchpoints/cross contamination. This means that - for now - residents will not receive a hard copy of the newsletter at the gate. If you do not already receive the digital version, please subscribe to receive Village Views by email through our website. If you prefer a printed copy, you can download and print the PDF from our website. While we know this is not ideal for everyone, we want to err on the side of safety.
