What is Pi Day?
On March 9th, grades K-4 through 5th participated in a dental hygiene assembly hosted by Nurse Barbara Douglas. During this assembly,
Nurse Douglas shared her personal hygiene journey and gave students critical advice on how to maintain healthy dental hygiene.
LCS Dental Assembly
Pi Day is celebrated every year on March 14th. Pi (π) is the ratio of a circle’s circumference to its
diameter. Pi is a constant number, meaning that for all circles of any size, Pi will be the same. We celebrate Pi day on March 14th or 3/14 because
the date is the first three digits of Pi (3.14).
