W elcome to the latest issue of our Newsle�er!
Registra�ons are now open for our campaign on Access to Healthcare mee�ng (06/12)! Places are going fast, don’t delay! Interna�onal experts, MEPChampions and the Health and Food Safety Commissioner Andriukai�s have already confirmed their par�cipa�on. The mee�ng will be the opportunity topresent the Roadmap to Universal Health Coverage by 2030, the main outcome of the campaign, proposing avenues to achieve this ambi�ous goal.
In the mean�me, read the interview of MEP Katerina Konečná on why she decided to champion the campaign area on a holis�c approach towardshealthcare systems. #Access2030
Achieving Universal Health Coverage requires the contribu�on of the en�re civil society. This is why EPF is proud to be elected member of SDG WatchEurope, a coali�on of civil society organisa�ons, working together on sustainable development goals.
Once again, key mee�ngs to report this month: the European Medicines Agency Pa�ent and Consumer Working Party mee�ng on an�microbialresistance, and the 20th anniversary of the European Health Forum Gastein, focusing on the future of health in all poli�cs.
On the 16th of October, EPF organised its first Na�onal Coali�ons mee�ng, gathering 30 representa�ves of na�onal coali�ons of pa�ent organisa�ons,to exchange best prac�ces and discuss the benefits of se�ng up such important structures for European pa�ents.
The European Health Parliament officially kicked-off its 3rd round! This ini�a�ve aims to bring together young health advocates to brainstorm and definefuture priori�es of EU public health. EPF is very proud to join as an official partner, represen�ng pa�ents in this mul�-disciplinary enterprise.
On the occasion of World Mental Health Day, our member Mental Health Europe organised a roundtable at the European Parliament, deba�ng theimportance of mental health at the workplace, and its consequences for pa�ents and society in general.
This month our Blog hosts the opinion editorial of Professor Ian Graham, from Dublin, on the new healthcare plan for Ireland, and its poten�alroadblocks. And do not miss the report of the recent Fall Mee�ng of the EPF Youth Group, where Andreas Christodoulou was elected as new President!
Finally, a warm welcome to our new colleague Ruth Tchaparianas EPF Office Coordinator!

BLOG: WORLD MENTAL HEALTHDAY: WELLBEING AT WORK IS ANASSET
The third edi�on of the European HealthParliament (EHP), an ini�a�ve bringingtogether young experts in healthcare, wasofficially launched on the 17/10 in Brussels.The programme gives young Europeans theopportunity to present their priori�es on theupcoming challenges for healthcare inEurope.
"Mental health at work should be consideredas an asset". That was the key message sentby experts on World Mental Health Day(11/10). May 2017 marked a landmark in Irishhealthcare planning. Under the leadership ofParliamentarian Roisin Shortall, the report ofthe Houses of the Oireachtas (Na�onalParliament) was published and signed up byall poli�cal par�es. Professor Ian Grahamwarns against the many barriers towards itsproper implementa�on.
The EPF Youth Group fall mee�ng took placeearly October in Leuven, Belgium, for threedays of brainstorming on future projects andstrategic objec�ves. The mee�ng also saw theelec�on of a new Board and President,opening a whole new chapter in the group'slife!
