T hismethodology a ssessed da ma ge occurring a s a resultof ra zing, hea vy vehicle tra cking, bombing, shelling,a nd rela ted conflict dyna mics. T he a na lysis includesda ma ge occurring to both a ctive crop fields a nd fa llowla nds, a s well a s in ma ny household ga rdens. N otetha t due to the specia l cha ra cteristics of the a reaa na lysed, ra zing might ha ve been overestima ted insa ndy a rea s, a nd some a mbiguity often existsbetween unused la nds, pa sture la nds, a gricultura lfields, a nd other la nd cover types. U N OS AT a na lysisindica tes tha t ~ 1,800 hecta res of a gricultura l fieldsha ve likely been ra zed or hea vily da ma ged by thesefa ctors in the intervening period. In a ddition, usingima gery a cquired on 27 a nd 28 August 2014 U N OS ATa ssessed da ma ge to greenhouses a nd identified atota l 657 destroyed, 214 severely da ma ged a nd 392modera tely da ma ged greenhouse structures.
