Background of ICUC Islamic Call University College located at the National Gaddafi Mosque, Old Kampala, Uganda, East Africa is an intellectual and scholarly community characterized by open discussion, the free exchange of ideas, respectful debate, and a commitment to rigorous inquiry. All members of the University - faculty, staff, and students - are expected to advance the scholarly and social values embodied by the University. Islamic Call University College and all its programs have been recognized by the Ministry of Education and National Council for Higher Education in Uganda under decision memo for year 2012.
The university offers an array of research focused under graduate programs in areas such as Information and Computing technologies, Business Administration, Human Resource Management, Education, Peace and Conflict Resolution, Public Administration, Social sciences, Islamic studies, Islamic finance, Arabic and translation studies, and Law. Research efforts are spread across its three colleges and three research institutes.
ICUC is organized into the following colleges:• Faculty of Business and Management• Faculty of Islamic Studies and Arabic Language (FISAL)• Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences (CHSS)• Faculty of Science and Technology
It is the University’s aim, by Allah’s grace, to serve the Muslims and Non Muslim in Uganda and Africa by supplying education at the very highest level. With a full commitment to values of Islam and the most authentic scholarship, and equipped with a critical and deep awareness of the nature of modernity and contemporary contexts, the University hopes to be a flagship institution of which Muslims everywhere can be deeply proud. Location of the University The University is located at the Uganda Muslim Supreme Council, Head quarters, Old Kampala Hill, Kampala City.

Message from the Academic Registrar
Welcome to ICUC where all campus-based courses have one-third of their delivery done using technology that enables learning teams to work together on content and problems. This is what the ICUC Academic Model calls the 2+1 approach to content delivery in which the teacher facilitates learning face-to-face in class for 2 hours and then students use technological methods and tools to learn for an additional one hour.
All prospective students are therefore invited to join ICUC, which is a centre of academic excellence and innovation, a model university, a good and conducive academic environment that will change and improve your opportunity and academic and professional career forever.
The o�ce of the Academic Registrar will always remain open to students and the general public and ensure that all the academic processes in the university are handled effectively and e�ciently in order to promote equity, responsiveness, accountability, transparency and above all professionalism.

Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences is a forward-thinking faculty offering opportunities for educational, cultural and skills development. We offer an environment in which students are challenged to extend and enhance themselves ethically, intellectually, professionally and creatively, and we strive to prepare our students for the demands of the future – both nationally and internationally.
Since its establishment, the faculty of Social Sciences has developed its own unique form of programs embedded in instruction, research, community outreach, and production, through which the students are exposed to the opportunities that deepen their understanding of the ways in which they can effectively contribute to national and international development.
Career Objectives
Research in the social, behavioral and economic sciences (SBE) builds fundamental knowledge of human behavior, interactions, and social and economic systems, as well as organizations and institutions. Systematic studies of these networks and their behaviors can provide rewarding careers in the academic world, government, and industry. Science careers are supported by the government and private sector and cover a wide range of opportunities in the field with a focus on career paths and decisions made by real practitioners. The Faculty of Business and Management imparts practical, measurable, active business principles and thought patterns that impact positively on students’ ability to succeed as entrepreneurs, executives or employees. The combination of skills taught puts our graduates at the head of the pack in the areas of business and management in order to serve the Nation and Ummah and serves as a regional center of excellence for Business and Management sciences.
Career Objectives
Graduates with a bachelor’s degree in business qualify for entry level careers, includingbasic management and administrative roles in private, public and nonprofit organizations. Many find employment as management trainees or managers in the sales or retail industry.
Others work as project assistants, o�ce managers and technology-oriented support specialists. Here are some examples of career options:

Faculty of Science and Technology is a faculty dealing with providing students with knowledge, skills and expertise in this scientific and new technology world.

Direct entry
(a) At least five (5) passes at the Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) obtained at the samesitting or its equivalent(b) At least two (2) principal passes at the Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) obtained at the same sitting or its equivalent. Conditional admission will be verified after getting the Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) Results print – out. Within the framework of the general direct entry requirements, there may be Special Faculty Requirements which a candidate must fulfil to gain admission to a programme in a specific Faculty.
Mature Age Entry (a) A candidate must be at least 25 years of age (b) The candidate must have passed Mature Age Entry Examinations with 50% mark or above (c) The Mature Age Entry Examinations must have been taken at a centre approved by the NCHE (d)No candidate who had previously attended a programme at ICUC shall be readmitted to the University under this scheme to a programme of study in which he/she failed to qualify during his/her previous attendance.
Requirements
Must have a qualification that is recognized for University entry in his/ her home country or country where he/she has studied. The applicant will be offered a provisional admission for one semester pending equating of his/her qualification. The University may consider for admission to a degree programme a candidate who has successfully completed a 12 – year - system of education provided that such a candidate has been registered at another University, prior to applying to Islamic Call University College, for a degree programme and has successfully completed at least one year of university education. Such a candidate must, however, submit the University academic transcript from that other University.
A holder of a 12- year-system of education Certificate: A holder of this Certificate such as the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education or the equivalent is required to successfully complete a Foundation Year before enrolling for the Bachelor`s degree programme.
Campus LifeOn Campus, students have free use of Wi-Fi for them to keep abreast of international scholarly pursuits as well as stay updated on social media. For those who are interested in competitive sports, the University has football and basketball teams.
