For the summer, children ages 3.5 through 3rd grade are invited to Children’s Church, which is provided by Christina Pacheco and Hannah Westra. Children gather in the lower level Noakes Hall, which is beneath our older Wasser chapel. Children will leave the Sanctuary for Children’s Church following the Children’s Message at the 9am and 10:30am services.

Sundays through September 4, we will have two services

The Peniel at 9 Service (the name of our combined Informal and Peniel for the summer), will meet at 9am in Wasser Chapel.

The Traditional Service will be at 10:30am in the Sanctuary.

Summer Hospitality Time From 9:45-10:15am beneath the Courtyard portico, we will offer hospitality time. As in past years, this is a good time to mingle….for those attending the 9am service to stay after that service and for folks attending the 10:30 service, to arrive early for hospitality time.

Our league is co-ed, and anyone who is older than age 15 or is turning 15 this year can play on our teams. We have two teams: Fire and Ice. We play against other area churches every Sunday during the summer at Progress Park, which is near W. Belleview and S. Broadway. If you have questions or to express your interest in playing, please contact or see Larry Roggensack (303-368-8898) or Rob Eulenstein (303-220-0192). Below is the schedule for today and next week for both teams. July 10: 2:45pm-Fire vs. St. Luke’s 4:15: Fire vs. Ice July 17: 1:15pm-Ice vs. St. Luke’s 2:45pm-Ice vs. Hope R.O.C.K.’s final refugee children’s clothing distribution will be July 13th through the 15th. This yearly program has grown so large that it is being transitioned to a monthly distribution at Christ UMC. The new program will focus on refugees only and will distribute free clothing and household items monthly. So, many of UMC’s donations will be redirected to Christ Church. There still is need of volunteers and gently used clothing and household items. If you are able, please hold your donations until July 10th. Please drop them off at Christ UMC, 7th and Colorado Blvd. during the day time. I have collected over 800 coats so have no more storage available. If you need immediate storage for donations, I will see what I can do to assist with storage. Volunteers are needed July 9th through July 16. Jobs include moving donations, setting up, staging, assisting children with fittings, shutting down and delivery of surplus to Goodwill. There is a sign-up sheet on the Kiosk in the foyer. Even if you volunteer for a couple of hours, it will be greatly appreciated. If you have questions, please call Carol Cotter 303-360-0223 or email [email protected]. Thank you in advance for your help.

BRING THOSE ALUMINUM CANS! Our latest metal redemption resulted in 66 pounds worth $21.15; bringing the 2016 total thus far to 274 pounds worth $144.06. This includes donations of aluminum cans and other miscellaneous metals. We send these funds to the Children’s Hospital Chaplaincy Department to supply Bibles for patients and their families including Spanish Bibles and other reading materials for their interfaith book cart. NOTE: Please separate different types of metals (they’re weighed and valued individually). Cans of any type other than aluminum are not accepted.

May God, our Creator, continue to bless our new

beginnings, our strength and our courage infinitely beyond

what we could ever ask, think or imagine!!!

Amen.
