TROJAN KIDS CAMP

The University of Southern California – Recreational Sports department is proud to announce the return of USC

Trojan Kids Camp for its 50th year of service to the Los Angeles Community. The USC Trojan Kids Camp program

is designed for economically disadvantage youth living around the USC Campus. The program provides an

opportunity to promote a healthy and active lifestyle to youth 9-15 years of age with a max enrollment of 225

participants.

Each camper will be provided FREE snacks and a lunch each day and will be given one FREE camp T-shirt. The USDA is

an equal opportunity provider and employer.

Unfortunately, the U.S. Government is NO longer covering the cost of the program. For 2018, the camp cost will

remain the same: $350.00 (plus a $25.00 non-refundable deposit) per camper resulting in a total cost of $375.00.

Applications will be available starting on Friday, April 13th, 2018. Spots fill up fast so to secure a spot for your

camper, the $25.00 non-refundable deposit or full payment can be placed starting April 30th, 2018 (1st day of

application acceptance). The deposit can be paid via cash, cashier’s check, money

order, or credit card (NO American Express or Discover). No personal checks

or USC Discretionary. No university employee discounts or sibling discounts.

USC Trojan Kids Camp Voucher 2018 information

If we are granted the USC Good Neighbors Grant a $50.00 voucher will be available to cover

some of the cost, for students who attend the following schools and clubs near USC and they are as follows:

32nd Street School, Foshay Learning Center, John W. Mack Elementary School, St. Agnes Parish School,

Manual Arts Senior High School, Norwood Street Elementary School, Lenicia B. Weemes Elementary

School, Vermont Avenue Elementary School, Dr. Theodore T. Alexander Jr. Science Center School, St.

Vincent School, USC Peace Camp.

We are estimating the grant announcement sometime in late May 2018.

ALL Vouchers must contain the school’s official stamp and principal’s signature (ORIGINALS only

NO copies).

If grant is NOT RECEIVED, you will be expected to pay the full balance by

June 18th, 2018.

ALL Vouchers will be VERIFIED with school administration

Deadline is May 28th, 2018 to turn in Original Voucher with

official school stamp and principal’s signature). If we are not

able to verify your child’s attendance at the school or

program listed on the voucher you will need to pay FULL

PAYMENT OF $350.00 plus the $25.00 non-refundable deposit

$375.00 in total.

Trojan Kids Camp Registration Information

Medical Exam

Each participant MUST provide a completed physical examination form (Note: physical exams must be

completed within the last 6 months prior to camp as early as (December 2017) start date of camp is July 2nd,

2018 to participate in the program. All physical forms must contain the office stamp and doctor’s signature

(ORIGINAL FORMS ONLY – no copies).

Camp Ages Accepted

Participant ages allowed to participate in camp are 9 to 15. Participants must be at least 9 and no older than 15

years of age by the end of camp on July 27, 2018. (No exceptions).

Completed Application A completed application includes: application (see below), physical exam and photo release form, payment

of $350.00 (plus the $25.00 non-refundable deposit) for a grand total of $375.00. We can save a place for

your camper(s) if you bring the application and a non-refundable deposit of $25.00 per application

beginning Monday, April 30th, 2018. All physical forms and payments must be submitted by or before

June 18th, 2018 by 5:00 p.m. in order to fully have your camper enrolled for the 2017 camp session.

Vouchers only accepted from students who attend the school listed above.

Accepting participant applications during listed office hours ONLY:

Monday–Friday: 7:00am–9:00am *then* 11:00am–2:00pm

Late night on Monday’s Only 4:00pm - 7:00pm

Applications will not be accepted or processed without the $25.00 non-refundable fee. The deposit

reserves the camper’s space until ALL 225 openings are filled.

When registering and reserving a spot for your camper, you can (i) place the $25.00 deposit to

secure a spot and pay the remaining balance by or before June 18th, 2018 or (ii) pay the full amount

when registering $350.00 camp fee plus $25.00 non-refundable registration fee for a grand total of

$375.00.
