ProgramIn order to accommodate the aspirations of individual students, the UOS has designed

a curriculum that flexibly combines courses in the Korean language, Asian and Korean

studies and the students’ major field of study, which are offered in both English and Korean.

Courses offered in English can be found on page 31 of this booklet.

1. Korean Language ProgramThe UOS offers a set of Korean language courses in 3 levels: Korean language (3 hours/

week, beginning/intermediate/advanced levels) and Practical Korean (2 hours /week,

beginning/intermediate/advanced levels).

Asianstudies. There are five to seven courses each semester, and each course requires

students to attend three hours per week.

3. Courses of the students’ major field of studyStudents can take the courses taught in English and Korea according to their major field

of study.

4. Credits and GradesThe minimum credit requirement for

exchange students is 6 credits and the

At the end of their period of exchange,

all exchange students’ having earned

credits are presented with an official

transcript of academic records specifying
