• Located in the most affordable European country
• Oldest university in Hungary
• 4000 students from 105 different Countries
• Safe and welcoming city
• Can study multiple disciplines
Where is Pécs?
• It is located in Southern Hungary about 3 hours away from Budapest
• Students can take weekend trips throughout Hungary and Europe
• Being in the south it is one way of the warmest parts of Hungary and the climate is Mediterranean like.
A little bit about me….
• I am a 25 yr old student work on my B.A. in Global Business and minoring in Marketing
• I study at Metropolitan State University of Denver
• Me and one other student from my university are the first StudyAbroad students from our school to attend Pécs for a whole semester
Areas of study • Students can study multiple disciplines and the university is
dedicated to helping students earn transfer credits
• For instance, I am taking a masters course and doing an internship do not hesitate to ask for alternative ways to earn credits

Cost of living • Cost of living is very
affordable
• My rent is around 230$
• Groceries for two weeks are around 50$
• I spend the majority of my money on travel so please take that into consideration when budgeting for students
Hungary is the most affordable country in Europe
Traveling
• I have already been to Italy, Slovenia, Germany and Vienna
• I just booked my ticket to Spain and will be in France and Croatia later this summer
Activities• There are countless daytime
and night time activities to do in Pécs
• My favorite hobby in Pécs is crossfit
• Clubbing, Bars, dancing, parties, eating out, hiking, shopping, traveling, classes, ice skating, swimming, and sports are some of my favorites
Student support
• Student support here is exceptional
• There is a very strong international community that makes meeting others very easy. There are events and meetings held almost daily for students to mingle and communicate.
• The administration is always willing to help 24/7 with any problem or question a student may have
• I knew two people one which was a professor before I came here and now I have friends from all over the world……
Why Pécs? • It is the most affordable option so students can save their money for
travel
• The education and programs here are challenging yet engaging
• Students will have no problem feeling at home with the welcoming staff and community of international students
• It will be an experience of a lifetime that will help students face challenges, over come fears and turn their travel dreams into reality
