• Materials digitized are freely available online as part of the UF Digital Collections (UFDC)
• Established in 1999, it now has nearly 4 million pages and 152,376items online
• The collection includes books, photographs, negatives, slides, maps, herbarium specimens and objects
• Collection strengths are Children’s Literature, Maps, Aerial Photography,Newspapers, Florida Studies and Caribbean Studies

Digitizing Museum Objects for 360o Viewing
• Using a high resolution camera, shoot 108 images of object in full rotation
• Optimize images for quality
• Create derivative jpeg imagesof packages (via PreQC)
• Load derivative images to UFDC for assignable URLs
Digitizing Museum Objects for 360o Viewing
• Create screen size jpegs (~450 px) to import into Adobe ImageReady
• Import screen size jpegs into ImageReady and create animation
• Save and export animation as an .SWF file
• Import the .SWF file into the pre-made Harn 3D template using Adobe Flash
• Assign the unique URLs to each of the 108 images for each object
• Save .FLA files for archiving
• Load .SWF file to UFDC
• Archive all files
