4-H SET Wants You!

The Glenn County 4-H’s SET (Science, Engineering & Technology) Committee

is looking for youth members and adult leaders to join them in a unique project.

This project will give the youth an opportunity to perform community service,

polish up on their communication and writing skills and learn more about the en-

vironment.

We are just in the beginning planning stages of this project. The committee would like to organize an

amnesty day, in which people would be able to drop off their unwanted items

at a centralized location at no charge. At the same time, we would like to be

able to educate people as to were they could take their items on any given

day. We will prepare handouts explaining where these items can be taken

any time of the year. The idea is to try and curb roadside dumping, which

continues to increase.

This project is going to be a huge undertaking and we need your help! Please

contact the 4-H Office at 865-1107, if you would like to get involved!
