Description The University of Bologna, founded in 1088, is the
oldest University in the Western world. It is also one
of the largest in Europe. Each year they accept
approximately 2,500 incoming exchange students to
study across the institution.
The University’s Architecture and Planning modules
are mostly taught in Cesena, 90km from Bologna.
Surrounding Area Bologna is the capital city of the Emilia-Romagna
region of Italy and is neatly situated a short
distance away from Milan, Florence, Venice and San
Marino.
Nearby Cesena is a small town with a population of
97,000. Just 15km from the Adriatic, this Roman
town is home to many historical sites and is
surrounded by fantastic landscapes. The coastal
resort towns of Rimini, Pesaro and Cesenatico
nearby, and major cities are in easy reach.

How to apply
When successfully selected by UWE Bristol and
nominated to the University of Bologna you will
need to provide:
1. Completed online application form
2. Photocopy of your identity card or passport
3. Photocopy of your EHIC Insurance card
4. Copy of your transcript of records
5. Learning agreement
