Registration on the [Surgical Endoscopy] website must be done with the University of Strasbourg before October 31 of the current academic year.

Administrative procedures would need to be completed with the University of Strasbourg for you to be able to access the website and validate your diploma

Two training profiles are available

1. Initial and continuing training with programme certification a ) Prior to the training, you would need to validate your request with the administrative department of the Institute of Image-Guided Surgery of Strasbourg by completing the pre-registration form, at the above address (1).

b ) Registration authorization will be issued enabling you to register at the University of Strasbourg.

c ) On the opening of the site or upon completion of your registration, you will receive you login and temporary password.

d ) Each module concludes with a theoretical assessment + an assessment by the internship supervisor for “Clinical” practice.

f ) To validate your diploma, you would need to validate:- theoretical online courses - clinical training in one or more of the partner centers- practical internship at the end of the course in Strasbourg

2. Free training

To promote innovation in surgery, an opportunity is given to a larger audience (undergraduate students in medicine, non-medical professionals, industrialists, engineers ...) to follow the theoretical part of [DU Surgical Endoscopy Surgical] as "Free Listeners"

This limited participation does not lead to a diploma or recognized certificate

We remind you that only those registered in initial and continuing training,or in free training can access the contents of the online learning modules.

To login and continue your training, you need a username and password, which will be sent to you by email once your registration has been validated.

The initial password you are provided with is a temporary one. For safety reasons, we recommend that you change it.

The password sent is temporary, we recommend that you modify it immediately.

• If you have lost your password:Click on "Connexion", top right of the screen, you will be directed towards the login page [DU Surgical Ultrasound].

Then click on the link "Forgotten password"(1)

You will be asked to provide your username and e-mail address(2).

You can always modify it by going to "My profile" > Settings(2) or by using, the horizontal bar at the top of your screen Settings > General(3).

3. Video Viewing

The video lessons are in MP4 format.An MP4 file is a compressed video intended to be read in streaming. The video player is integrated into the website.

If you encounter problems reading the videos, please make sure you have your internet browser up to date.

FIRST CONNECTION

Open your favourite browser and type the following url:www.master-surgical-endoscopy.eu

At the top right of the main menu you will find the "Connexion" button(1).

You should have received your access codes by email. Please have them at hand.

Please fill in all the required fields with your temporary username and password (paying close attention to case sensitive entries)(2).

Remember to change your temporary password, the password should ideallybe between 6 and 8 characters long and should contain at least 1 digit.

At the top right of the main menu, click on "Courses"(1).This page will show you the 4 course modules to be followed during your training.

Start with the first module - 1. Basic Principles (2). All courses and lessons must be validated in chronological order.Exemple : Example: you would need to validate module 1 to be able to move on to the second module. The lessons follow this same learning pattern.

Click on "Start taking this course"(3).

When you start your first class, there is a button that indicates your progression (1).

An introduction outlines the objectives of the module(2).

At the bottom of the page you can see the list of lessons in chronological orderof the module(3).

When you have validated a lesson, the dot changes to green(4).The progress bar(5) indicates your progress in the course.

Each lesson contains an introduction(1) and a video recorded by an expert(2).

You have an integrated video player with playback control- play, pause, duration, sound and full screen –

After viewing the video, you will need to validate your lesson by completing thequiz in the form of multiple choice questions (4).

To validate the lesson a minimum score of 75% of correct answers is required.

QUIZ SCORE

For technical reasons, you may opt to do the quizzes either in French or in English. To submit your quiz to automatic scoring, please ensure that you are on the French site and click on the "Complete quiz" button(1).

You will also be able to Save, finish later, or Reset, if you wish to do it again, or if you have not reached the 75% required for validation(2).

When you score 75% of the questions correctly, you will see a green box (1).

You can also view your progress bar by going to the menu and clicking on "My Courses"(2). Two tabs are available - active courses and validated courses(3)
