Compass Bible Study During the Summer!
Meeting on Tuesday nights from 7-8 pm in the St.Francis Room during the Summer, Compass is afun and laid-back way to read scripture and get a little moreout of Mass. Every week we spend an hour discussing thenext Sundays readings and sharing our faith. We are studentrun, student led, and totally low time commitment, so drop bywhenever you can. Come hang out with us this Tuesday!

We are open during the summer10 am to 4 pm Monday through Friday.

New Faces at the UCC!
The Paulists announced that Father Ed
Nowak, CSP (pronounced 'Novak")
will take the helm of the UCC effectiveAugust 1, 2008. Father Nowak is
currently serving the Paulists as
Director of Vocations, a position he has
held for six years.
Dat Tran, CSP, a Paulist seminiarian, who
will be serving his pastoral year at St. Austins
While Dat will spend most of his time at St.
Austins, he will be a common face at the
UCC. God willing, Dat will be ordained a
Paulist priest in 2011.
Women's Vocation Discernment Dinners
Single, Catholic women interested in discerning their
vocation are invited to informal monthly dinners with others
who are considering a call to religious life. Each evening
includes dinner, prayer and a discussion on discernment and
religious life. The next gathering will be Wednesday, July
2nd from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm in Georgetown with Dominican
Sister Mary Jean Olsovsky, principal of St. Helen School. Fo

Pope Benedict XVI opens the Year of St. Paul
Last night in the Roman Basilica of St. Paul-Outside-the-Walls, which contains the tomb of the Apostle of theGentiles, Pope Benedict XVI opened the Year of St. Paul.
This celebration marks the 2000th birthday of St. Paul andwill continue until the Feast of Sts. Peter and Paul, on June29, 2009. During this year, were reminded of St. Paulsmission to spread the Gospel of Christ to allno matter theirbackgroundand St. Pauls commitment to the one body ofChrist.

No daily Mass will be celebrated today.

University Graduate Students & Professionals-
UGAP is a group of post-college age people who
share and live the love of Christ in communitythrough worship, faith formation, social service,spiritual development and fellowship. We meet on Tuesdaysat 7 pm in the Mother Teresa Room throughout the Summer.
Micah 6 Food PantryUCC participates in the ecumenical Micah 6food pantry through donation and volunteeringon Thursdays and Saturdays. Many of the peoplewe serve are homeless. Dont forget our neighbors whohave nothing during the summer months. Please continue tobring canned goods and packaged dry goods to Sunday Massfor the baskets near the fountain. We ask that you continue tosupport the Micah 6 Food Pantry with your generousdonations. Thanks to all for your help.
