How to ApplySTEPS to take for the submission of an application 2nd call for applicationsNovember 3, 2014 – February 1, 2015

STEP 1• Check whether applications for the level and type of mobility you are interested in will be

accepted at the 2nd call.

 

STEP 2• Check whether you are eligible to apply for a JoinEUsee > PENTA scholarship by reading

the information provided in the section “Who can apply?”

 

STEP 3Find out which of the three target groups you belong to.

 

STEP 4Find out about (a) the possible duration of scholarships and (b) what the scholarships cover.

 

STEP 5Go to the section “Documents to be uploaded” to see which documents you need to provide for the level and type of mobility you want to apply for.

 

STEP 6Read up on the different universities you can apply to:

Check the general information sheets of the university/ies you are interested in

Find out which fields of study and study programmes are offered by the university/ies

 

If there is a study programme you are interested in, find the answers to the following questions by checking the information in the academic offer:

STEP 7• For doctorate exchange students:

You need to make sure that the courses / activities you want to do at the host university can be recognized as counting towards your degree programme at your home university. Therefore, check links to courses, ECTS credits and learning outcomes. In addition, consult your academic coordinator at your home university.

STEP 8Start preparing the documents you need to upload in the online application. You need to upload all the documents listed as required for your level and type of mobility. In addition, make sure to upload any additional documents which your host university asks for (see step 6).

Who can apply?

Erasmus Mundus JoinEUsee > PENTA offers scholarships for: 

• students and university staff from the EU who want to complete an academic mobility at a Western Balkan partner university

• students and university staff from the Western Balkan countries who want to complete an academic mobility at an EU partner university

 

Scholarships are available for candidates in three different groups of candidates – target group 1, target group 2, and target group 3.

 

Choose your nationality. Then read through the information carefully to find out if you are eligible to apply. Pay attention to the information in the footnotes!

What does the scholarship cover?

Erasmus Mundus JoinEUsee > PENTA scholarships include the following benefits:

Monthly subsistence allowance

Travel and visa costs

Insurance Tuition fees (if applicable)

Documents to be uploaded – 2nd call• PLEASE NOTE:• 1. You have to upload scanned versions of all

your original documents AND scanned versions of official translations of the documents into English (whenever the original documents are not already in English). Applications which do not include both the original and the translation of documents will be rejected.

• • 2. Host universities may ask for additional documents to be uploaded (in addition

to the documents listed below). Check your host university’s academic offer and upload any additional documents (if required). It is the responsibility of the applicant to make sure that all obligatory documents are uploaded.

Doctorate exchangeApplicants for a doctorate exchange mobility need to have finished their master studies (or equivalent) by the time of application in order to be eligible.

academic (at least one) – including signature and contact data of the referee • Language Certificate • Bachelor Degree Certificate (or equivalent)• Master Degree Certificate (or equivalent)• Transcripts of Records from previous degree (master or equivalent) AND current PhD study

programme• Proof of registration (document issued by your home university stating that you are currently enrolled) • Target Group 3 supporting documents• Other (e.g. proof of

StaffThe applicant needs to work in or be affiliated with a higher education institution in one of the EU countries or the Western Balkan partner countries. • Documents to be uploaded
