Malintzin, doña Marina, Malinche, es uno de los personajes de la historia de México más sugerentes y quizá el más determinante. Su inteligencia y su carácter le hicieron vencer obstáculos que parecían imposibles. De esclava pasó a manejar el destino del hombre más poderoso de su mundo.

Aliada involuntaria y luego amante de Hernán Cortés, su imagen ha sido estigmatizada y convertida, a lo largo de los siglos, en un símbolo contrastante en la cultura popular de México. A Malintzin se le forjó una imagen de traidora que incluso hizo que se acuñara el término “malinchismo” como sinónimo de traición, pero para la nueva historiografía mexicana es una mujer de gran inteligencia, políglota, traductora e intérprete y también conspiradora. Todo eso, menos traidora.

“Malintzin, la historia de un enigma”, es un documental con dramatización que destaca la figura de este personaje fundamental en la conquista y en la creación del mestizaje y en la construcción de lo que hoy es México.
