Universal Granite was formed by family and friends in 2005, all founders with previous experience within the industry.
From a small unit the size of a double garage, the company is now sited in a 15,000 square metre factory. It houses computerised saws, edge polishers and a state of the art Breton CNC machine.
Our aim as a company has never changed throughout the growth and that is to provide the highest quality installation at affordable prices.
We work to very strict quality control and quality assurance procedures throughout the manufacturing process. This begins at the granite processing stage where it is inspected by our own people prior to importing. Strict shade batching of all granites is carried out at all stages to prevent variations.
Our workmanship is subjected to regular inspections by the Guild of Master Craftsmen to ensure the standard of manufacture and installation is maintained. Our materials and accessories are supplied by companies that offer warranties to give our customers added peace of mind.
We are approved fabricators for all major brands of quartz such as Silestone, Compac, Samsung, Caesarstone and Du Pont. Added to the solid surfaces we are also accredited to carry out Corian fabrication.

The fabrication process begins with slab cutting. The precision, computerised saw is programmed from the templates to produce the required worktop sizes. It produces millimetre perfect pieces for the profiling, polishing or jointing process.
The Breton CNC uses state of the art technology to produce all types of cuts and shapes via programming or laser templating. Computer templates are downloaded from the sink manufacturer onto the CAD system to give the perfect cutout. It also enables the production of fancy profiles such as bullnose, ogee and shark’s nose. These, together with various drainer groove and recessing configurations, help to produce that unique, bespoke kitchen.
