Science 80/100…………………….
MT 80/100…………………….
What are Raw Scores?• Raw Scores tell us
how a child does for
each paper, but not
how well he/she does,
compared to others.
Subject Ali’s ScoreNationalAverage
English 80 75
Mathematics 80 85
Raw Scores vs Averages(Example)
• Ali’s English marks is higher than most students.
• Ali’s Mathematics marks is lower than most students.
• Hence, Ali did better in English than in Mathematics, when
compared to others.
• The raw score for each subject is converted to a transformed score (T-Score) using a formula.
•The T-score reflects the students’ standing relative to other students on a common scale.
• It takes into consideration the content and demand of the subject.
What are T-Scores?
• The Aggregate Score is the sum of the T-Scores for all subjects.
• Each subject carries equal weighting.
• Incorporates the performance of students in all 4 subjects.
• Allows students to be ranked fairly.
