Letter From the EditorGrace and peace be unto you UNITED,

And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. Romans 12:2

We are all in a daily process of becoming more like Christ. As spring so clearly teaches us, we cannot have new life without a drastic change. But, as we commit to the process, God has infinite blessing in store to manifest His goodness and power in the earth.

This year we will experience The Limitless God at our Silver Anniversary celebration in Towson, MD. Holy Convocation will be here before you know it so register today and be one of the first 200 people invited to have complimentary seats at our awesome People’s Appreciation Luncheon. We have a Fashion and Talent Show lined up (see page 19) and lots of surprises in store!

It is only through the renewal of our minds that we will truly walk in the perfect will of God. This month the Lord is still speaking on this pivotal theme as Pastor Tahijj S. Counts ministers to us about Renewal of The Mind. It is a necessity in the Kingdom for bringing about good success for God’s glory.

Renewal of The Mind9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. 10 But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. 11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. 12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. 1 Corinthians 2:9-12

Spring time is a season of Rebirth, Rejuvenation, Renewal, Regrowth, and Resurrection. Just like the time on the clocks spring forward, so our minds and thought patterns should always be progressively moving forward in the things of God! Spring time is a time of exuberance in the life of a believer after coming out of a rough or difficult season. One of God's major priorities is renewing our mind to focus on the solution and not the problem.

You will never have more or go further or accomplish greater things than your thoughts allow. Paul stated that no one can know a person’s thoughts, but that person. We must use the bible as an exchange program – we exchange every negative thought, doubt and fear with the word of God and thoughts of faith. My car broke down one Saturday and normally I would have gotten upset and asked God “why me.” However, on this particular occasion I kept saying “Lord I trust you.” Later that evening my older brother called me to say I could borrow his car until my car was repaired. I stayed positive throughout the entire ordeal instead of getting stuck in my situation.

Your life is a reflection of your most dominant thoughts and meditation! Paul stated that no one can know God's thoughts except God's own spirit. As believers of Jesus Christ, we must be in a healthy and quality relationship with God so that our lives can be a reflection of Christ.

When you make it a practice to meditate on success, you will begin to live a successful life. The more we meditate on the logos (written) word, then God's Rhema (Utterance or spoken) word will change our rough seasons into smooth seasons. Our lives are built on a series of thoughts, just as a masonry builds a building one brick at a time. Likewise, we are building our lives on the scriptures of God's word, one verse at a time, to transform the dark and cold areas of our lives

Paul reminds us in this passage of scripture that our confidence is not based on our intellect or speaking ability, but in the power of the Holy Spirit giving us the words to say to transform any situation for the better. We rely on the Holy Spirit to guide us from our situations to God's revelations or solution to our current predicaments. As we speak life our words become the seeds that grow and shape our atmosphere.

Canyon University with a Bachelor of Arts, Certified Church Music recipient of Darton College, Advisory Board Member of Albany School Based Health Center,

and Musical Director of True Praise Music Ministry and Lead Clinician to name a few. We are honored he has join the UNITED family and look forward to great

moves of God in the Arts among our gathering of churches.

Bishop Gregory K. Minnis has been Re-elected as the

National Treasurer for the Bahamas Christian Counsel in Nassau Bahamas for the

next 3 years.

His integrity has warranted him this place among many other Christian

leaders on the island. We salute Bishop Minnis!

The Holy Spirit of Christ is Alive and Making an Impact here at The Temple of Glory International!

In the first four months of 2014 our church has grown in numerous ways. There has been a revival and rededication of members and ministry leaders! New ministries have formed to help us meet the spiritual and relational needs of the congregation. Finances have increased even during a season of difficult weather here in Chicago! And entire families are accepting Christ and worshipping together!

Most recently we are excited about the REAL LIFE SALVATIONS that are taking place in the church, as we went back to teaching basic Christian doctrine and inviting members and guests alike to truly pray The Prayer of Salvation! On Easter several young African American men and women gave their life to the Lord Jesus for the first time!

We are also very proud of our Family Ministries! Our children and youth ministry has grown immensely in the past 4 months under the leadership of

The Brim family! And our Married Couples ministry has sponsored wonderful events under the leadership of The Crossley and The Cox family!
