Registration Fee $25.00 A new division in the 2016 World Championships is youth and adult unarmed self defense competition featuring youth and adult self defense divisions beginning at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday July 21, 2016.. The self defense techniques are executed against front and rear grabs and punches and kicks. Each competitor executes 5 self defense combinations or 2 minutes. KOSHIKI COMPETITION Friday July 22, 2016 10:00-12:00 noon - Registration Fee: $25.00

The 2016 World Karate Championships will feature fourteen koshiki divisions on Friday, July 22,2016. In a koshiki match a competitor may score with hands, feet, elbows or knees. At the end of two minutes, whichever competitor has the most points wins. A well padded chest protector is worn on the chest and a Plexiglas face shield on the headgear protects the face.(Equipment is provided) The chest protector and Plexiglas shield are the only target areas.
