rodding showcase United Pacific’s New Deuce CoupeThe steel tubing cage is the shipping crate for every new body leaving the Long Beach, California facility.

Major Lin, owner of United Pacific commissioned Roy Brizio to build the official UPAC company car….which turned out to be another great looking hot rod.

All bodies are EDP coated to prevent rust inside and out.

Here is one of three pristine original bodies which were used to make the stamping molds. The blue jig is dialed in to the original body dimensions and then used to assemble the new bodies.

The UPAC ’32 firewall is a reproduction of the stock firewall and is available with or without pre-punched stock holes.

Quality ash hardwood is used for all of the wood interior structure. Shown is the top wood assembly.

By now, most hot rodders have heard that we have another “new” steel 1932 Ford coupe body available to us, this time of the 5-window coupe variety. United Pacific Industries, Inc.

is located in Long Beach, California (adjacent to the Long Beach airport runway) and is far from a new player on the block. In fact, they began manufacturing products for the truck industry in 1984 and now have more than 3,000 products including LED lighting and specialty restoration items for classic cars, classic trucks, muscle cars and hot rods.

In 2013 they introduced their new ’32 five-window reproduction body shells which were built from original Ford blueprints and are officially licensed by Ford. Beginning with steel which is of equal or greater thickness than the original, every panel is stamped on handcrafted permanent dies which ensures every detail is preserved. The 100% accurate-to-original stamped pieces are then assembled on a body jig which is periodically checked against a perfect, unmolested original body to assure a perfect fit. The completely assembled bodies are then coated in EDP (Electro Deposit Primer) both inside and out preventing the potential buildup of rust.

Every coupe is stock height with no chop available and includes doors which are hinged and latched, deck lid hinged as a trunk, all garnish moldings and a complete and installed CNC machined hardwood inner structure. As far as options go, you have your choice of two:

1. Original open insert roof or a steel filled roof.2. With a cowl vent or without. The firewall and dash are sold separately.

Another plus for the hot rodder or restorer is every body component can be purchased separately if you are in need of replacement panels for your original Henry Ford five-window project. In fact, it takes 123 pieces to make the United Pacific coupe, just like the original.

So thanks to United Pacific owner Major Lin and project manager David Odegard the 1932 Ford five-window coupe will have an extended life beyond the 51,794 original units which rolled off the assembly line in 1932.

MSRP: $20,999

A look at the interior of the body jig.Stock door (L) and the new door.

This is the beginning of the new body with the floor and cowl in place on the body jig.

Look at that beautiful new floor…no rust, no holes and will rivet right into your stock ’32 5/W.

Every piece of bracing that was produced in 1932 is included in the body assembly and can also be purchased as individual parts if you are resurrecting a stock body.

New Deuce coupes ready for their new homes.

Stacks of freshly stamped floors await a place in a new body or in your original Henry Ford project. It sure would save hours of time trying to patch a rusted stock floor.

Aisle 1932, the place where dreams begin. Every piece of each new body is stored in this area of the massive warehouse which includes over 20,000 unique products.

Body 001 was sold to Vic Edelbrock, Jr. and built by Roy Brizio. It too was on display at SEMA 2013.

The official public debut of the finished body was the 2013 SEMA Show in Las Vegas. The officially licensed product was displayed in the Ford Motor Company display.

The boxes in the foreground are the start of the pieces for a new body.

Take a look at the new quarter and the stock body…an exact match.

The process takes about one week from start to finish.

The body is available in four configurations with this one being exactly as the original with the open roof and cowl vent.

This body includes the steel filled roof and filled cowl vent.
